the weight is coming off!!! Hurrah!

Hey, Lynn! Thank you so much for the compliment!

You say your DS is a senior in high school looking to be a lawyer? Okay, my first bit of advice would be to not do a prelaw program...law school admission is not aided by having been "prelaw" in college, and it would possibly hinder him. In fact, I don't even know what a "prelaw" program exactly is...in college I was an International Studies and Spanish major. My DH majored in economics at Vanderbilt. What I would suggest is that he major in something (it could be anything) that will show he has interests OTHER than the law. :)

Although many people go straight through college to law school (Dh did), another suggestion I have to take some time to get some real world experience, even if it's a year or two. It REALLY sets you apart on the law school applications, plus can be helpful in terms of saving some money.

PM me anytime...(if I'm wrong about him being a senior in high school...LOL, when I see senior I just automatically think high school :))

Yay! Am down another pound...

You know, I was reading a magazine article on Kelly Ripa and apparently, she's a size 2. When they asked her if she worked out, the answer was no. They asked her what she ate, and her answer was what her kids ate, as well as tons of cheese.

My response? Oh, PLEASE. It's not enough for these celebrities to make everything look easy...they have to go and sound off about how little they have to do to keep in shape? Is she supposed to be about making herself seem accessible to the regular woman? Because if so, she's doing a terrible job.

Just ugh!

The thing about my routine is I couldn't keep up with it either if I was working full time, or a mom. The thing is, I don't do it every day, In fact, last week I felt pretty horrible, so I only did it Wednesday and Friday. That was it. But it must burn a whole lot of calories, because it still worked.

Uuggh! :( This is TOTALLY my problem. Between commuting, working, cooking dinner, kids activities, weather, not feeling well, being lazy, etc., I cannot stick to a routine for any longer than 2 weeks. I KNOW this is my greatest downfall. I do feel better when I exercise but sometimes going out to exercise (or making time for it) is just another stressor in my already stress-filled day. Then I get into this vicious cycle of eating too much. I just feel like if I could walk for 2 weeks and drop a pound I might get motivated to keep going. It's just taking too long!!

:) But I'm not "skinny". According to certain weight charts I saw today on the internet, I'm still pretty normal, on the high end of normal using 1950s standards of weight and overfat when it comes to body fat percentage.
