good morning!

hope everyone in the NE is doing good and still has power, was just watching the weather channel...so much snow and wind...stay home and safe this weekend!
please check in with us when you can!

today:
scrap
laundry
once over on house

tomorrow:
going to west seattle to meet friend for lunch

hope everyone has a wonderful and safe weekend!

The governor put a vehicular ban out for the state yesterday around 4:00 pm. NO ONE was supposed to be out on the roads, or face a fine and up to a year in prison :scared1: But, they really need to keep the roads clear so the big trucks can do their work.

It's stopped snowing here, but there is another band coming through soon that will probably last a couple hours. Hopefully, that is the end of it. We've got over 22 inches already, who knows how much more that band will bring. :worried: The wind has died down, so we should be safe as far as not dealing with an outage.

I'm working on my MK Sketch pages. Morgan has baked and frosted cupcakes already.

No plans to leave today for sure, probably tomorrow too!

Have a good weekend, everyone!

hopefully people will stay of the roads Jen...good call that they will fine people...way do people have to put their lives and others at risk in this kind of weather :confused3

I find it sad that they have to put ban's like that out. Where is the common sense people???? I know the media is doing their jobs warning everyone how bad it's going to be but REALLY??? We have nothing for tv stations and we reallly rely on the the weather channel. When they focus in on something like this it leaves a lot hanging for others.

Today is more quilting and taking Eric to practice for 4. He needs to get a move on with his homework, he is the procrastination king!!!

Stay safe everyone.

Those cupcakes look yummy!:)

We are supposed to get a winter storm here tomorrow-worse to the east of us but we are getting ready, going to the grocery store ahead of time and all that.

It has been the right weather for staying home with a good book or crafting!

Done snowblowing and shoveling here- 22 inches - the sun is shining brightly, the top of our driveway is showing the blacktop, and i am off to have a long, hot shower!! Hope everyone else is doing well!!

OH my gosh... My friend in LI said that they sent people home about 3:30pm.. it was raining up till then... then turned over to snow at the rate of 4" per hour and people were stranded everywhere!!!! She said they can't even get plows up the hill by her house to plow because the cars are blocking their entrance.. Someone on the hill is actually taking his bobcat out to dig the cars out so the plow can come back... She said they got over 32"!! :faint:

Buffy and them are still doing well...

Today:

scrap when I can....
I forgot I promised my little Ellie that I would go see her winter guard performance today up at the high school... (performance time is 4:39pm... but I need to be there before then because if I'm not in the gym by the time they set up and close the doors, I can't see her perform...)
DH to sit w/ DS12 and go through some online accuity tests (we have been reviewing lots because the standardized state tests are in just 3 weeks)...
DS12 to study for social studies test

Sunday:
scrapping ALL day, I'm locking myself in my scraproom and am not answering to any of my family members unless they are bleeding!!

lisa reported 32" at 5:30 am. someone (family) came with a tractor and unburried them.

ours was a total bust 12" tops

27 here with 30+ drifts. Plow guy got stuck in the driveway so he came back with a bucket loader.

Took DH, me and the kids 2 1/2 hours just to dig around the cars and the steps.

Expecting 40's all week so lets hope it starts to melt, but not to fast, I don't need another indoor pool in the basement.

Stupid idiots were posting on FB about digging out to go to dunkin donuts, hey morons, make coffee at home!! The only reason they were open was for the plow guys.
We also had state wide road closures, $400 fine if you were caught. And Hartford towed over 100 cars after the parking ban went into effect. They opened all the parking lots at schools and parking garages were free for Friday - Sunday. No reason to be parked on the road. $200 fee to get your car back. Glad the mayor and the governor are taking a hard line on it.

And Mohegan Sun was actually smart enough to cancel tonight's Bon Jovi concert, this afternoon! Stupid people were actually going to go through with it.

Last report I heard, we got 28 inches here. The neighbors helped by trying to plow our driveway last night, so DH hasn't got as much to shovel, but still. He's decided to wait a bit longer for the sidewalk plow to come through. Of course, they have miles and miles to plow so who knows when that will be?

We were very very lucky to not lose power. Now we just wait for the melting/rain and cross our fingers that it doesn't come into the basement. Sigh. If it's not one thing it's another.

Has anyone heard from Cassey? She's closer to the coast than I am, I wonder if they lost power?

Buffy, people are so dumb!

Jen, that's a lot.

Guys are working on the laundry room remodel today.
I've got a few things to do.
Finish up valentines with girls.
Dinner not sure
Early bed time for sure. Didn't sleep much.

I have not seen/heard from Cassey.... Let's hope she is just under a pile of scrapbooking paper having fun!!

Glad the local government is taking a stance about roads.... we can not park on certain roads that are deemed "snow routes".. you can't park on them any time of the year but definitely not in the winter... Our road you can park on.. you just have to dig yourself out because it's a side street... We have a lot of elderly neighbors who we help shovel their walk ways.. most of them won't drive if there is snow on the ground.. We usually will do the grocery runs for them if they need something.. easier for DH and I to get out w/ the boys than them.

Hope everyone is doing well today... take your time digging out... no need to get hurt...

I'm in slow mode today... got a bit of food poisoning.. yuck!!

I hope to try to digital scrap in a little while... my stomach is still queasy... I'm over it....
