The wee man came too Trip Report Day 2

I managed to get up before 7 and got clothes sorted for the kids before wakening them, we went for breakfast and managed to walk to the park and be in there about 8.20 (leaving mum and brother behind as they were slower getting up).

The girls wanted to Buzz straight away so that is where we headed to – disaster – Adam didn’t like it and refused to go on it again (we normally go three or four times in a row during EMH) so we wandered through the shop and then headed for Fantasyland where we did the normal -Teacups, Carousel and Dumbo (we finally caught up with mum and brother here).

We headed over to IASW and then on the way back through fantasyland decided to have a go on Pinocchio but when it came time to board the carriage Adam was having none of it so him and I escaped through the exit and waited for the others. We were heading for Frontierland and Woodys round up but got distracted on the way and the kids went to the play area where granny looked after them while Philip and I headed for Pirates – this was a walk on as it was still early in the day. We went round Adventure Isle and finally managed to get to Frontierland – where first stop was BTM – we all apart from Granny went on this - even Lucy who normally runs every time you mention it! Adam enjoyed it but wouldn’t go back on it again. The kids got their ration of popcorn and then off we went to Woodys Roundup – this was great as they got to meet Pluto, Goofy – Minnie and Mickey and Woody. Adam was a bit unsure of them but we got loads of photos.

Stopped at the Cowboy Cookout to refuel and sat outside where we were plagued with wasps before going on the Molly Brown and having a gentle cruise.

The kids loved looking at all the pumpkin men that were out here so I think they would enjoy a Halloween trip next time....... .

Part 2

We headed back towards the castle and Anna and I finally went to see the Dragon. Adam by this stage was starting to flag so I said I would sit with him outside the castle and watch the Mickeys Magical Party Time Show – we all sat down and watched the show but Adam fell asleep on my legs

once the show was over the rest headed back to Fantasyland as the girls wanted to go to Alices Labyrinth but when they got there it was closed so they took a few goes on the carousel and teacups. Adam slept for about an hour and woke up half way through the second performance of the Party Show – it was coming near parade time so we just sat on and watched from there Adam and Lucy had a bit of scare as one of the Toy Story Soliders came right up to them and shouted.

We decided to head back to the hotel but as the parade was still on we headed up through the arcade – the kids decided they wanted to nosey in the shops so I went on up to City Hall to book the Parkside Diner and to organise the birthday cake for Cafe Mickey tomorrow night. Once we all met up we had a leisurely stroll back to the hotel and the girls decided what they were wearing to tea – Snow White for Lucy and Belle for Anna – but Adam then threw a complete strop as he had nothing to dress up in – I offered him his new toy story top but no he wasn’t having any of that so I had a cunning plan – he wore the top of Lucy’s HSM cheerleader outfit and decreed it was a basketball top! Of we went to the Parkside Diner where we had a fab meal (will do a review on the appropriate thread), we had a nosey round the shop in the hotel and then went into the village and had a browse round the shops there.

I sent mum on with the kids and went back and got a Minnie Balloon for lucy to have on her birthday and then had to smuggle it back to the hotel but brother came back and met me and he took it. When we got back to the hotel, mum and brother headed for the bar so I could get the kids into bed but had shut their connecting door so I ended up hiding out in the bathroom waiting for the kids to go to sleep!

Great day! I love your photos! the pumpkin bits did look ffab didn't they?!

I know what you mean about hiding out in the bathroom - I used to send DH out for a walk when I was getting DD to sleep!! It's just a shame that the suites are more reasonably priced!!!
