The Wedding Was Great, but now for the Disneymoon! An October 2012 PTR -Updated 10/3!

Your statements about POFQ make me very happy because that is exactly why we are staying there. Small, quiet and peaceful. I don't anticipate spending too much time in our room, even if it is our honeymoon:laughing:, but my worst fear is not being able to sleep our having a moment of peace because there are so many families around us. Not that I don't like kids, I love them! But maybe not on my honeymoon...

Well...hopefully you are in a building far away from our crew! LOL! With 5 boys ages 5-6, one girl age 3 (who thinks she is one of the 5 yo boys) and a 14 month old girl...we might be a little wild. :)

Plans so far sound good!

Wow that does sound like quite the crew! But I am sure we would love to be near you, the three year old in particular sounds like my kind of chick!;)

So, being the big planner that I am, I know that we will need some new stuff for our trip and have already been buying for what has been deemed the "Disney box." Here is some of the fun stuff I have purchased so far:
smallminnieshirt.jpg

Fun shirt for me!

smallvadershirt.jpg

Fun shirt for Ry, to be worn on DHS day, hopefully!

smalltowels.jpg

New beach towels. I am fairly tall (5'9") and Ry is 6'1", so we both like loooooong beach towels. These were perfect, really plush and on sale at Target. Love it!

Because even your first aid supplies should be Disney themed!

I also found some cheap lanyards on clearance at Staples. I will definitely be pin trading, but I am too cheap to buy a Disney lanyard too!:rotfl:

And finally, for our one Universal day, otherwise known as Harry Potter Day! I am a huge fan, and Ry tolerates it well. We saw the first movie together the year we met, so he has been along for the ride for a while. Here is what I will be wearing that day: (I was even sorted in here in Pottermore!)

Here is what Ry will be wearing (he even picked it out!)

That's all for now, though I am sure I will be adding to it in the 4 months between now and our trip!

HaHa...now I see why you don't think I need an intervention! LOL! Cute shirts. I saw those towels at Target earlier today and thought they were really cute.

So I meant to tell you all this when discussing our Animal Kingdom Day, but I completely forgot about it until I was discussing the fact that we are not planning on seeing Honey I Shrunk the Audience if in fact Disney decides to start showing that again.

One thing we will definitely NOT be seeing at Animal Kingdom is the It's Tough to Be a Bug movie. This has nothing to do with the fact that it is a 3D movie in general, but instead is because the movie includes a huge 3D creation of my worst fear. You see, I have a deathly fear of...

...praying mantises. I know, crazy right? These small delicate creatures will send me running as quickly as possible in the other direction. I really can't explain how terrified of them I really am, except to see that even seeing a picture of them gets my heart racing, so a gigantic 3D version would probably cause me to have some sort of mental breakdown complete with uncontrollable crying, shaking and possibly fainting. Even typing this up is starting to get me freaked out. :scared: The fear comes from a silly childhood trauma, the story of which I will tell you if anyone cares to know.

Luckily my DH is very aware of this fear, having been next to me in college when someone tried to show me a live one they found on their backpack, my response to which was to scream and run away (literally). He's even warned me when one of our favorite websites linked to a video of one without explicitly stating what the video was of.

Moral of the story being, no It's Tough to be a Bug for us.:)

well, i'm not sure i've heard of a fear of praying mantis' before... but i dont blame you. i am not interested in simulating the feeling of bugs on me either. :goodvibes

Love love love the gifts you guys got from your husbands sibblings and friends! My husband and I also went on a "Disneymoon" and have a fabulous time!! Excited to read all about it!:cool1:

Don't worry, most people are confused. In fact, I think I might be the only person on the planet deathly fearful of them, most people think they are cool. Which does not work out in my favor, as they keep showing them to me!:rotfl:

Thanks! Like I said, we were so touched by the Disney themed gift, you could tell a lot of thought went into it, and it was totally unexpected.

Thanks for joining in on the fun, I hope to get the plan for the next few days up today!

A quick update before I get into days 5 and 6....We got our tickets in the mail!!
Tickets.jpg

As soon as I opened the package I got really excited over the fact that one of them was Mickey!! My DH was not as excited, I can't imagine why...:rotfl2:

It was like the day we were discussing the different itineraries and he turned to me and asked "you keep talking about this rope thing, what is rope drop?"

Ok, so I am totally the planner of the family, but it works. In any case, tickets, yay!

Day 5, Tuesday, October 9, 2012

Tuesday will be another Magic Kingdom day, hopefully starting with rope drop again, but because we will be out late the night before I am not sure if we will make it.

We have no ADRs today, but instead plans to head over to Kona Island Sushi for dinner whenever we feel like it. Most likely it will depend on whether we make rope drop in the morning and how tired we are in the afternoon. Both Ry and I tend to be morning people, so I am guessing what will happen is that we get up early for the MK, then head back to POFQ for a nap and maybe some pool time.

There's no MNNSHP on Tuesday, so we will probably get back to the park to see MM&Y and Wishes this night again. The park closes at 9:00, so even if we stay until closing, or close there to it, we still will get back to POFQ at a decent time (hopefully).

Day 6, Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Wednesday will be our first DHS day, which in turn will be all about
toy-story-mania.jpg

That's right, we will be doing the TSM dash and then proceeding to try to ride on it as much as we can. Ry has been on this ride at Disneyland, and he absolutely loves it! I haven't been on TSM yet, but I am super excited about it.

We have two ADRs today, but only one in the Studios for a late lunch at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. It will probably be a simple, unhealthy lunch of burgers, cherry cokes, and possibly some milkshakes.

Hopefully the lines for F! won't be too bad and we can see that tonight. Then it's back to DtD for our second ADR of the day at Raglan Road. Our ADR is for 9:30, so it will be a long day but a fun one!

Up next, our last day at Disney :sad1: But we still have three days of our vacation after that!

I haven't posted a lot about my planning binder, best rest assured I have been working on it.

Mostly at the moment it is just a lot of print outs from my reservations at our various hotels, ADRs and our flight and rental car. I still have to make title pages for everything, but it does have a cover! I was very happy about how this turned out:

I will add the different designs for the inside pages when I get to them!

Getting caught up!

Your plans look great! I've never been to La Hacienda, but I've read some good reviews. We tend to go for San Angel (I like being inside the pavilion!) but I do want to give La Hacienda a try as well. It looks gorgeous. I do love Boma - only don't breakfast (yum!) but I love the atmosphere of Boma/AKL.

I do like Ellen! It's nice and relaxing, which is nice after the ridiculous Soarin/Test Track run around in the morning. Plus, dinosaur animatronics! I'm a sucker for a nice robotic dino.

Good luck with the Toy Story run! I've never been able to ride that in Walt Disney World - that line is WAY different from the Disneyland one. We just went to Disneyland ~2.5 weeks ago and were on their version as much as possible; I'd never seen Toy Story with "only" a 30 minute wait! :lmao: I really like the ride, but definitely not 1+ hour wait type of love!

Welcome and thanks for joining in! I think it is so funny that the line for the DL TSM is so much shorter than the WDW TSM line. I mean, I know that the crowd levels are generally higher at WDW, but I still think it's mostly hype. I mean, I am sure the ride is good, but that good? I will have to wait and see.

Love the cover to your planner! I am working on some for our group too. Mine will mostly have blanks in it for others to fill out though since I'm only planning for the family specifically and in general for the others.

I am hoping that on Oct 9th there are EMH or extended hours added. Would really love to be able to go back with DH later in the evening while my parents watch DS. It would be a good night since there are no evening EMHs anywhere and no MNSSHP. Its the only weekday that there isn't EMH or MNSSHP.

TSM is definitely good, but i wouldn't wait an hour+ for it. part of the reason for the line at WDW is that there really isn't much of anything else that a small child can ride there. last trip, when you could still hoard fastpasses, we rode it three times so that there was something my ds could do besides a couple shows.

Love your wedding picture! If I looked like that, I'd be using that picture as "me" until the day I died! You'll be there about a week after we leave. Maybe it'll be cooler by the time you arrive. Well, I'm hoping it'll be cooler when we're there also!

Thanks! I just bought a small journal to make my TR notes in, and I decorated it with a bunch of scrapbooking disney stickers. I have to take a picture and post it here. I also printed out all of my mousekeeping envelopes, the designs for which I got from the Dis thread on them. They look so cute!

I have to say I was a little disappointed with the EMH night offerings. The only one we are planning on taking advantage of so far is the Sunday night at MK, and since we are not doing MNNSHP that limits us as well. So I am hoping that the open up some more evening EMHs too.

That's kind of how I feel about it. I've never ridden it, but I can't imagine anything being so amazing as to warrant wasting over an hour waiting in line for it, especially when you can get at least one fastpass. I am hoping we can ride it at least twice, but if not, there will always be other trips.:woohoo: That makes sense about the lack of rides at DHS for younger children, I never thought of it that way. Most of the rides there are thrill rides or have scary parts.
