Tell me how you liked the Wave? What did you have, how was quality, service, etc?

Fantastic doesnt begin to describe our 2 dinners at the Wave, tons of pics and full review in my March 09 and August 09 thread.

The service was top notch, the food was amazing and the ambiance is very relaxing, more like a signature meal than a regular TS meal.

we went there for lunch and dinner since we were staying at the BLT. we both thought the food was really good and the service was just as good. we thought about going there again but it just did not work out that way. i did prefer the lunch to the dinner but either way you will not be disappointed here.

We love it and prefer the dinner over lunch. The bread is wonderful! Truthfully, none of us are huge fans of the dessert trios--but we are probably in the minority on that. My sustainable fish with the veggies was delectable! We had nine people for lunch and a different group of nine for our dinner and there were nothing but raves for the food. DH has asked to dine there for his birthday this year.

It's awesome! This reflects our experiences, too. Also, I love the dessert trios and having a chance to sample 3 different dessert selections.

I went there last year. The food was very good. I had a pasta dish with shrimp. DH had the sustainable fish.

Another fan of the Wave here. We went there last Sept and had a wonderful relaxing meal. The service was very good - probably the best we had all week - and the food was yummy. Everyone in my party had the beef filet and I had the decadent trio, it was delicious.

I am so glad to hear these great reviews. We are going in December and will trying it for the first time.

Thanks for the reviews! I'll be visiting the Wave later this month and am excited to try for the first time.

We went to the Wave for the first time last November and all 7 of us loved it.

I started with the Avocado and Citrus Salad - it's a green salad with diced avocados, various slices of citrus (I think they're all oranges, but they're different colors - no blood orange, though) - it was one of the most delicious salads I've ever had. The only other appetizer I remember is my DD's Black Bean Chili. She was 10 at the time and thrilled to be ordering off the adult menu! She loved the chili and I can vouch for how tasty it was.

My Mom and I both had the Braised Lamb Shank with Lentil Stew - we both loved it. My Dad had the linguini with clams and rock shrimp - he's hard to please, but he really enjoyed this very much. DD had the chicken pot pie and loved it. I can't remember what DH, DMIL or DFIL had - nothing else on the menu looks familiar...they've probably changed a few things. Everyone was very happy with their food and the impeccable service, and I gotta tell ya, this was our only time using the DDP (it was free), and our servers all treated us just as respectfully as when we've paid OOP, wherever we ate. After reading many reports of being treated less-than-respectfully and attributing it to being on the DDP, I was concerned (needlessly in our case).

Oh yeah, dessert...YUM!! Even the No Sugar Added trio that DMIL had was pronounced delicious.

We loved the wave!! I loved the atmosphere in the restaurant, the food taste's great, and the service was good! My favorite part about the wave... and mind you this will sound wierd but I loved that the water was filtered!! I drank about 3 cups of water here! I would highly recommend eating here! :goodvibes

Dined there last December. The food was wonderful. Would have tried it again, but we had the WORST SERVER EVER. Seriously, a slug on Valium would have moved fast than she did. We were seated just before 8:00, if I remember correctly and the place was half empty. We knew what we wanted to order and nothing was difficult to prepare. We should have had our food quickly. Nope.

All we had was tea, entree and dessert. Yet it took us nearly 3 hours to get out of there. She had maybe one other table to wait on. Useless....Just useless. The table next to us had alcoholic drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts. They were seated as our entrees were delivered. They were paying their bill and leaving while we were still waiting on our dessert to arrive. Obviously, they had a different waiter. Our poor DD fell asleep at the table.

Because of the pathetic service, we will never return. Never. :sad2:

We have only had Breakfast there... but I can tell you all three times we have been have been great! Very peaceful atmosphere, very very good food! The menu has healtier options - which is a welcome after all the indulgent meals during the week. Every time we have been the dining room has been practically empty - not sure why..... Maybe most people haven't discovered it yet?

After reading all the above postings, We will be booking a dinner ADR!

WOW - looks like I've made the right decision. I must get the Avacado & Citrus salad.

I'll be there Sunday - 5:00 - then off to a monorail tour (showing boyfriend the resorts as it's his first time) and the to MK!

Was thinking of switching din-din to Kona Cafe, but I think I'll keep the Wave.

oh boy oh boy!

Yay! I'm glad to hear so many great things about The Wave! My friend and I are eating here before MVMCP on Dec. 14th and we've never been here before! I can't wait!

Has anyone gone to The Wave just for appetizers? I have an early dinner ressie booked at The Wave for one of the nights of our upcoming trip. We have 2 TS meals earlier that day and are really just looking for something light before heading into MK for MSEP.

We didn't go for just appetizers but we got them with our meal since we were on the DxDP. DH loved the crab cakes and I was in heaven with their lettuce wrap (not sure if they still offer those). So I think it would be a great choice for just appetizers but their desserts are fabulous too so maybe share one of those too.

Thanks for the great endorsements! We will be making our first visit for lunch during our Christmas trip

We ate there last week and enjoyed it.

Our server wasn't great, she was very personable but slow. She was terrible about bringing drinks. It was very crowded though.

The food was very good. I had the beef tenderloin and DH had the chili rubbed steak. We both switched the side dishes (had the warm spinach and bacon salad instead of the other veggies) and they were very accomodating about that. DH wasn't sure about the starch with his meal and the waitress told him to try it, and if he didn't like it she'd bring him something else. He liked it :) The meat portions were small, but between the bread, sides and desserts we didn't go hungry.
