The Wave or The Plaza

We are a group of 5, 3 adults and 2 children, 8 & 5. We have reservations for dinner at The Wave but I'm co considering changing to The Plaza. Thoughts on food at each? We are doing the Pirates & Pals cruise that night.

The Wave has much better food. Much better.

Will you be in a park before? You need a park ticket to enter MK to eat at the Plaza, so if you'll already be at MK, I'd pick that one. If you will be hopping from another park, I would pick the Wave because it would be easier. I can't speak to the food at the Wave, but we've always enjoyed the Plaza. It's pretty basic fare though - sandwiches and burgers.

Depends on what you're looking for. They're very different. The Plaza is a place for sandwiches and ice cream. The Wave is better for a nice dinner; food is better, but it's also more expensive.

I think that the wave is one of the most underrated restaurants at WDW. I have been there a few times and never had a bad meal there. The service was always good and never had a long wait.

I agree that more details of your day/night are needed. We always go to The Wave during one of our MK nights. The food is very good and it is a nice place. I have been there 3 times and each time we are at MK, walk over to Contemporary and eat, then walk back to MK. The menu is diverse and you end up trying things you may have never had before too.

We will be at MK during the day as the girl's have appointments at The Pirates League makeovers.

The Wave has great food and the Pirates & Pals cruise party meeting area is just up the escalator. If you're eating after the Pirates & Pals cruise you'll be walking right by the Wave as you leave. Also the Pirates & Pals cruise is going to load you up with a ton of all you can eat snacks.
