Since we've been to WDW numerous times, we like to try new restaurants. Our 12 year old son is pretty picky. He likes to stick to the basic fare of burgers, chicken, pizza, etc. My husband and I, while not adventuresome eaters, do like to try new things.

I would love to get your opinions on dinner at this new restaurant.

We loved it...I was nervous because my dh is a meat and potatoes kind of guy. But he was able to get a big juicy steak and they offered to let him substitute the side dishes. He thought it was great and we actually changed an ADR so we could go back later in the trip.

Hubby and I really enjoyed it. The apps are fantastic, nice wine list.
Our daughter really enjoyed the chicken and all that comes with it (childrens meal). I tasted it, it was very good.

We did not dress up. We wore what we wore to the parks, shorts and shirts. I was also pleased that there were just as many kids as adults. All were well behaved (adults too!) ;)

This restaurant looks awesome. Unfortunately, we are cancelling our ADR here. We're going to eat at WCC instead that day for lunch to save some money. We'll eat here eventually though.

My parents and I ate lunch here in a whim in August and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent!

you could dress up if you'd like...it's an up-scale looking place. No one was actually dressed up when we were there, but the place was 1/2 empty. It's not publicized and only been open 6 months or so. Suspect it will get busy once they open the DVC Contemporary towers. We really liked it...here's link to my review, it's post #36. Has some food pics...

Thanks a bunch. I find that pictures help me make decisions.

We ate there last week for dinner.

We're from Texas and are big steak and potato eaters.

The steak DH got was 6oz at best and our server (who was WONDERFUL), told him about the celery root mash that was served with since they didn't do baked potatoes or mashed potatoes. He said ok, with the rule being if he didn't like it she'd get him something else.

He didn't like them, but he doesn't like celery. She said he'd hardly be able to taste it...she lied. I tasted them and all you could taste was celery. :) So she brought him out fingerling potatoes...that reminded me of those little candy easter eggs.

Overall, it was a good restaurant. Nothing that was fantastic, but very good.

I had the catch of the day which was bass. I had never tried it before and I was very pleased with my meal. Cooked well and a good portion.

We ate there and Coral Reef and no doubt about it The Wave was MUCH better.
