We're staying at BLT and thought we might try The Wave for breakfast one morning. Thoughts?

The Wave turned out to be one of the best surprises I have ever experienced at WDW. Last year on a whim we did a last minute ADR for breakfast there; We did not regret it at all. The buffet is very good and kept up with and clean. If not a buffet fan then you can also order off a menu as well. We liked it so much that I made another ADR with the restaurant while I was there for our departure morning for breakfast.

I had room service out of the wave at BLT and the sweet potato pancakes with chicken sausage are super delicious. I think both are on the buffet too.

I've heard nothing but good things recently -on my list for the next visit....

The Wave is a hidden gem, although it's becoming more popular. It has a smaller buffet and a nice menu--sweet potato pancakes are delish!

Yes! It has been a favorite of mine for several years. Good buffet, nice menu items, they offer a strong pressed pot of coffee, and it has a relatively calm and relaxing atmosphere.

We all enjoyed our breakfast there. I made an ADR late the night before (like at 11pm!)
They encouraged to get up and look at the buffet before we decided what to order. Two of us did a la carte, 3 did the buffet.

The buffet is decent! Reminds of a buffet at a Marriot or Hyatt or the like.

Do they still have a breakfast buffet with Eggs Benedict? If so, then it's an easy question to answer

We've enjoyed breakfast at the Wave several times. One of the best buffets on WDW property. My wife, who is originally from Lafayette LA, loves the grits there.

Yes, they do. BUT, the English muffin on the ones I got were wet and soft instead of crisp. So I skip the buffet and get the Eggs Benedict off the menu.

My son likes their grits, too. We're from Shreveport.

DH and I did it two years ago based on heresay,as it seemed to be somewhat of an insider secret at the time. We immediately liked the atmosphere, the right on the spot service AND that we had a CHOICE- ordering off menu or the buffet. We both decided on the buffet and were not disappointed. We're obviously fans of Disney or we wouldn't be there ( or have AP's ), but even the biggest fan needs a break now and then from characters and chaos. No, it isn't a huge enormous buffet, but it was fine for breakfast and everything that was offered was terrific.
We look forward to our next visit there end of August..

We tried the breakfast buffet in November. We all thought it was great. I know it will be on my list every trip.

If you ever order the buffet and something isn't right, talk to the server. They might be able to chat with the chef to get something fresh made for you.

I've always been able to get the grits made for me without the bacon. :)
