Does anyone have an opinion about The Wave restaurant at the Contemporary? I am wondering if I should book that as an ADR for our trip in two weeks. I see that there are still reservations for the time I want so it seems like it isn't that booked.

We were there a couple of weeks ago. Thought that it was pretty good. Nice atmosphere, good service & tasty food. Some think that portions are small, but my DH is a big eater & he had plenty. I left some of my pork tenderloin, but I don't eat a large amount.

We ate there a few weeks ago and were pleasantly suprised. We had avoided it since reports were that much is a la carte and the portions can be small.

Being good eaters (and hungry) we made a same day res when our plans changed and both ordered the tenderloin steak on the CM's recommendation. Portions of other menu choices we saw at some tables were on the small side, but not tiny. We were satisfied with dinner and the portion size, grabbed a snack a few hours later in the MK anyway (can't live without Dole Whip!). The dessert samplers are wonderful! Not too filling but gives you a taste of three desserts.

Service was great. We will definitely try the Wave again.

We ate there last Monday. We really liked it. We love to go to the resorts to eat and this was definately worth it!! The portions are not huge...DH was a little disappointed with that. But, we really enjoyed a nice meal. The kids even liked it too and asked to go back. I would go back there our next visit!!:thumbsup2

Didn't seem to us that the portions were to small :confused3 there was still food left on my plate, but then this was our last ADR after two weeks of free dining, so by that point any food was too much food .
It was pretty good though. Nice atmosphere. Being a nineteen year old child though I ordered the Tinkerbell punch and was more amused by the colour changing straw than anything else. I'd say the food was good though, we'd probably return :) It's also really nice the way they do the deserts in threes, so you get three different tastes, I ordered the sorbet, and was less keen on the pineapple one, but the lemon-basil one blew me away.

We ate at the Wave in August and were pleasantly surrised. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. I had the wine sampler too and that was fun. Nice atmosphere, good service and there was a DVC or Annual Pass 10% discount at that time. Turned out to be one of the better priced dinners of the trip.

We had a really good meal there in May - the review and pictures are below if you want a look! We would definitely recommend it!

We have been to the Wave 2 times. I thought the grilled chicken sandwich with goat cheese for lunch was excellent. Enjoy.

This was one of my 2 favorite restaurants on our trip last week. I would definitely go. We had 6 in our party and everyone loved it. None of us thought the portions were small. My only complaint were my potatoes were too salty (with the cinnamon pork). The desserts are awesome and our waiter was great.
