The Wave at Contemporary Resort

If you are going to The Wave for lunch, I recommend the grilled chicken sandwich on multi grain bread with goat cheese. Very tasty! :thumbsup2

I enjoyed the fish and DH had the steak back in August. Both were good though I found the fish a little too salty for my liking. My oldest DS had pasta with shrimp and liked it.

We have been there twice and the food is amazing! The avocado citrus salad is a must try...the linguini with shrimp is delish, the pork and filet and flank steak were out of this world!

Great Bar Area, Great Lounge Area, but the ambience in main dining room was just alright. My wife and I ate during lunch and I had the reuben and she had the vegetable panini. It was good, but I had higher expectations. We actually returned to the bar area prior to our reservation at California Grill.

We loved the steak with boniata (sp?) potatoes. We tried lots of desserts, all were good except for the sugar free choc. mint.

We got amazing raspberry smoothies and vanilla milkshakes (inc in ddp)!

I usually eat seafood when I'm in a restaurant but I had the filet at the Wave and it was excellent.

The Wave offers a limited menu at the bar. I don't believe you can order a full meal.

Oh dear. That's NOT what I wanted to hear. Have to wonder why tho--many of the Signature restaurants serve full meals at the bar.
Anyway, that removes the Wave from our May list.

OP here.

Thanks for all the responses. I am going for dinner, and then on to my first
MVMCP.:goodvibes

I will do a review when i return.

Thansk again!:goodvibes

We had dinner there last month and must admit that we were disappointed. I felt like some comfort food and had their version of chicken pot pie. The server mentioned that the chicken was partially deboned with the crust on top. It was really a piece of baked chicken with a disc of dry crust on top. DBF had a pasta and seafood dish that was just all right. Our server was pleasant and her service was adequate, which is subpar compared to the many wonderful servers that we've experienced at The World. I know that some posters have had some very positive things to say about the Wave but we see no reason to go back.

The Wave was one of our absolute favorite restaurants for dinner last summer. We actually went twice for dinner. My picky son ate all his pizza both times we were there. I ordered the filet both times and loved it. My husband had the cinnamon crusted pork loin and felt it was one of the best meals of the trip. I hope you have a great time!:goodvibes

We really liked the Wave last June. I'm pretty sure DH ordered lamb with couscous, I had a small sirloin with little potatos, and DS had kids' pizza. The food was good, and the atmosphere was OK. It sort of felt like a big, modern room. But our server was very nice, and we had fun.
