The walking distance from Magic Kingdom to Contemporary is

the equivalent of walking from Disneyland to what hotel? I have a lot to think about before officially planning a trip to Disneyworld. Thank goodness for the Dis.

It's about a half mile. If you really want to know the exact distance, you can measure it on on google earth.

If I remember right, and looking at a map...in DL terms...perhaps about as far from California Screamin' to Main Street station? Maybe as far as the Disneyland Hotel to Main Street USA? Kinda just guessing...it's been a couple years since a Disneyland trip!

At Disney World, the path is just below the monorail beams and passes the MK bus stop and goes though the Contemporary/Bay Lake Towers parking lots.

It's about half a mile. Slightly shorter than the distance from DLH to the main entrance to DL . Or slightly longer than the distance from the BWPPPI to the DL entrance.

We had to walk it one night after dinner at Chef Mickeys and I would estimate it took my family of 5 with a stroller 15 minutes and and we are not really in any kind of shape.

It's about a 5 minute walk.

Just stayed there last month, and LOVED having a room within walking distance of MK. Family of four (DS3 and DS5), used a double stroller, and maybe a 10 minute walk? Honestly, with all the walking around the parks, the walk to/from the hotel was a drop in the ocean.
