Some photos from our recent trip to the Waldorf and Bull & Bear. We had a one bedroom king suite...

The Deluxe Shellfish Platter at Bull & Bear. Enough for 4 to enjoy. It could have been our meal for sure!

The bamboo cutting boards that the steaks come served on. The temperature of the steak is engraved into the knives.

Disney had better take notice, as the Waldorf is what a true deluxe hotel should be...

Thanks for posting your photos! The platter looks delectable. I don't think I'd want to share that with 3 other people:laughing:.

Yes, the Waldorf is a true deluxe hotel, however, it's still not located on Disney property. While I love the service and amenities of a 5-star hotel, I also love being able to walk to the MK or hop right on the monorail from the CR.

Hopefully, WDW Resorts will work more diligently to improve cleanliness and service in order to better position themselves to compete with the upsurge of nearby 4 and 5-star properties.

Sorry if it has been asked recently - but how is the spa? The web site makes it out to look like it has a lovely treatment room with a tub, should you choose that add that treatment on. Just wondering what other facilities are included such as sauna, etc and if the atmosphere is special.

I haven't used the spa, however, I did post a new link on the first page to the WA spa brochure with prices. Gratuities are NOT accepted and are already included in the prices listed.

I added more review and photo links to the first page thanks to:

Heading down to the Hilton this weekend. Decided it wasn't worth the price difference for the Waldorf this trip, so thought we'd give the Hilton side a try:thumbsup2

Curious if anyone has tried to book this. I just tried for January 5th - 8th and I did not see a 20% discount or anything in the ressie details about kids eating breakfast and dinner free. The rate was the same ($149 per night) as the Best Available (unrestricted) rate. There was only a mention about a coupon: MOUSESAVERS
INCL 20% OFF FOOD COUPON AVAIL AT PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS
which is also unclear that it would be for length of stay etc.

Anyone have success?

Yep, when I clicked-on the MouseSavers link and put your dates in, I get the same thing, the MouseSavers rate appears and the "more" reads:

Rate Type Details

Rate Type:
MOUSESAVERS
INCL 20% OFF FOOD COUPON AVAIL AT PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS

These are the details from MouseSavers site:

MouseSavers.com readers get the best available refundable/changeable rate for Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek...

plus get a MouseSavers exclusive 20% off coupon for dining during the entire length of your stay! Valid at Harvest, Harvest Grab & Go, Beech, Zeta, Sena & Muse. Discount applies to food only.

*Children under 12 dine complimentary at breakfast and dinner from the children's menu at Harvest Bistro with one adult entree purchased (up to 2 children per adult)
.

Maybe they give you a voucher for the kids' dinner? I suppose you could send an email to Mary (www.mousesavers.com) and inquire. She is very friendly and helpful.

Good luck.

Hilton Bonnet Creek offers the Kids Eat Free deal to all guests dining at Harvest Bistro:

http://www1.hilton.com/en_US/hi/hotel/ORLHHHH-Hilton-Orlando-Bonnet-Creek-Florida/dining.do

And the Mousesaver room rate appears to be the same as the "best available rate" offered on hilton.com.

So the only added value with the Mousesavers deal would be the 20% off food coupon and it would be important to know what restrictions are involved with the "available at participating restaurants" language.

Does anyone know if people staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek can use the Waldorf Astoria Kids' Club? I'd like to use the Astoria After Dark club so DH and I can have a nice dinner out.

I'm going down for the Princess 1/2 and my friend just booked a suite for 3 of us. She was upgraded (using her points) to a 1400 square food suite. I can't find anything out about these online. Can anyone tell me about them? She was told they have 2 queens and a fold out in the living area. Do they all have decent views?

Thank you. Do some of them have 2 queens?

I'm starting to get excited. I'm a little nervous as I usually stay on site and will miss EMH, but I think for a short weekend trip, I can handle it!

Hmmm... On the site it lists a King bed and Queen sleeper. Did your friend book two Queens before the upgrade? They might need to call the hotel directly to confirm.

Enjoy your vacation!

I have stayed in a Luxury Suite before...it was divine :goodvibes

It had a King bed, and views of the entry drive and golf course...very peaceful and relaxing...

As far as not having EMH, once we stayed at the Waldorf I have had zero desire to stay on property...zero...the service is impeccable and the hotel is just gorgeous...

Enjoy your stay!
