The Waffles do Disneyworld! (14 nights, 6 people, a million memories 9/2017) updated: 4/24

I can't figure out how to quote on my phone yet but OH YES! I was exhausted! I couldn't go back to sleep after I booked it... I was too amped up! I was praying to Our Lady of Starbucks, Patron Saintvof caffeine ALL day! Lol! I do have a pre-trip report going on too here.

Ohhh, we are a big board game family. What are your favorites? My DD's both mostly younger than most of your brood, love Charades and a Disney Apples to Apples game right now!

I love the hat! Are you guys excited for Nintendo world? I am!

I think BOMA is out as of your last update? correct? We love Boma. It is so good. But my girlfriend said Tusker House is just as good. And I think that is where you ended up at this point?!?

EXACTLY!!!! We have a rule, if you are so tired that you are that crabby we go back to the hotel to rest!

We have not done SOA, but we have done HDD review. And it was sooooo fun! WE loved it. DH didn't really know what to expect and he I think he liked it the most! Def a bit of work to get over there, but I think worth it. Do the boat there and back. You can get resort busses then from MK on the way home. That is my vote. Otherwise, you will take the shuttle bus from HDD review to the front of the resort and then possibly need to take another bus to MK and then a bus to the resort that you end up at.

DH and I have been talking about this for awhile now. I want to go to Trader Sam's, which is a hard sell for the girls.

Can't wait to hear what other changes come your way!

I'm so sorry I missed your post in my exhaustion!

Boardgames: Right now I think we love Codenames (and all of its iterations) the best. Games are so much fun!

Nintendo World: SO EXCITED!!! I hope there's a Mario Kart attraction, Donkey Kong, and I'd also love something Zelda.

Boma: Out for now, but it kind of breaks my heart. I wish AKL was more convenient. Next time for sure, but Tusker House will be fun, and Tiffins looks Uh-MAZE-ing.

Complaining: Yeah no. This vacation is the single biggest expense I've ever made in one fell swoop. The downpayment on our home is less than this trip! I should institute a $100 per complaint fee.

HDDR: I am so excited! It might be the reservation that I'm looking forward to the most! Chris and I love experiences!

Trader Sam's: I already want the nautical drink that costs like $50. It will have a great home in our pub shed (we built a 10x12 shed and turned it into a bar). I can't WAIT for the two evenings we're spending sans kids.

Yay yay yay! It would have been fun to stay at the same resort and wave at each other, but this saves us a ton of money.

We'll wave to each other from somewhere else! :wave2:

Yay! I looked at Chris and said "Is this what my life has become? When I'm up at 2:30 am, it's not because I'm at a party, it's because I'm hitting refresh at disneyworld.com. Motherhood, am i right?"

I don't think it's motherhood because that's me too :rotfl: Well I didn't know when it went live, but I did get up at 6 am to book it.

The Disney-ness has not slowed down.

Yesterday I added Magical Express to our reservations, but the call dropped before we were finished. I had waited on hold for 40 minutes. Sigh. So I just waited until the end of the day thinking phone lines wouldn't be as busy but I was wrong. I finally got ME added to both rooms (we have two separate reservations, but Disney combined them with a third res # so we can get adjoining rooms. However, it still works as having two rooms for the purposes of making additions and changes). Blerg. Then, just as I hung up I realized that I forgot to add Memory Maker. I'll wait for that until the madness of FD wears down.

Also, I joined a new office in January and haven't been there for any vacation planning yet. Well, yesterday I discovered that there are two other Disney Parks fanatics and we geeked out over my vacation for like an hour. It was awesome, because I'm pretty sure Chris is tired of me talking about it.

The best part of the day was at night when I drank a glass (bottle) of wine and we made the kids watch YouTube videos of Pop! and some of the restaurants we have reservations at. The kids decided after a few that they wanted the rest to be a surprise, but I think they were all super excited. We have three teenagers so getting any indication of excitement is rare these days.

Crazy busy phone lines!! I usually have pretty good experiences calling Disney, but I hate when you wait forever just to not get everything resolved. Good luck getting back on the phone with them when it's less busy!

Also, I was nosy and reading the other comments on this thread...
Boma: Out for now, but it kind of breaks my heart. I wish AKL was more convenient. Next time for sure, but Tusker House will be fun, and Tiffins looks Uh-MAZE-ing.

We like to call Tusker House "Boma lite." :P It's a lot of the same types of food. I looove Boma, and it typically has the edge in terms of food variety and quality, but we agree that Tusker House is verrrry similar, just with a more...energized?...atmosphere. :P

You can add Memory Maker on MDE! I'm pretty sure you can add ME there too so you don't have to wait on hold. I try never to call unless I absolutely have to  I always end up hearing "it's a small world" and waiting on hold forever. And I've gotten some less than helpful people on the phone.

I will have to look into that one!

OMG, this is what is going to get us to go to Universal. Ironically...

Complaining: Yeah no. This vacation is the single biggest expense I've ever made in one fell swoop. The downpayment on our home is less than this trip! I should institute a $100 per complaint fee.
Ha! I want to do that too! My girls are younger, maybe just a revoke candy rule...

Well, if you have a pub shed, you "need" that nautical drink!

I'm so sorry I missed your post in my exhaustion!
No big deal, it happens.

I'm really excited about Tusker House, we did it for breakfast on our last trip (6 years ago?) but it was when I had food poisoning from Sci-Fi so I couldn't eat, I was miserable, and I kept having to go throw up. I need a re-do!

I transferred our reservation to my friend who's a TA just so she could get a commission but now I feel like I have no control over anything. Worst feeling ever.

Well, if you have a pub shed, you "need" that nautical drink!

Right?!?!
