I don’t carry a thermometer with me but I remember reading that the coolers only get down to 40-45 range. Since that is the lowest multiple people had reported that supplies for breakfast aka milk and creamer were going bad.
I can’t remember if it was regarding BPK coolers already installed or gripes when it was announced that the coolers would be installed at BPK. I have only stayed in the original building but I do remember the coolers being heatedly discussed.

I will be back in Big Pine Key in about 2 weeks and will report back. I will write a trip report for the trip and will make sure to talk about the refrigerator.
what makes it a beverage cooler to you? The refrigerators at big pine key get cold enough for food. It’s not very big but it is cold. Its not like a cruise ship “fridge” that is barely cold.
I was not speaking to BPK specifically, but any time you are in a studio it’s absolutely possible to end up with a beverage cooler. The one we had in a Poly studio did not keep food cold enough and our leftovers went bad.

I wouldn't accept that and would ask the front desk for a repair or replacement. I don't care which resort or room I'm staying at (when it comes to DVC at least). Even in the "broom closet" tower studios at Riviera, I have gotten (small) refrigerators that are more than capable of keeping whatever I want cold.
Actually, the last time I was in a tower studio my boiled eggs froze solid. LOL

I just got back from VGC and had to call maintenance as mine was not cold at all but was a real fridge. There was not the normal control inside. Maintenance had to pull it out and the control was all the way on the back of the fridge. No idea who thought that was a good design
I am pretty sure VGF resort studios opened with the traditional black beverage cooler found in all the WDW cash room refurbmishents, but were transitioned to actual mini refrigerators that fit in the cabinet. They still have glass doors, but I believe this is the model of the replacement (the temperature gauge is on the back of the unit): https://www.danby.com/products/compact-refrigerators/dag016a2bdb/
