I agree with you. I just wanted to point out that it was going to cost us some.
I have always been in favor of increasing ticket prices by 150% or 200% in order to drop the crowd levels.

If they can’t/won’t replace inexpensive things like shower heads and toilet seats when they get gross…. what else are they not doing right…

Perhaps a security despot is needed for things above normal wear and tear in a room…. especially for MAX occupancy reservations, renters, or non-home resort stays….

That again boils down to money. What they are "not doing right" is they are either not charging enough, or are not managing the money properly.

AND… are they properly staffed for Mouse Keeping? What is the feedback mechanism that they can relay issues they find for maintenance or replacement? Is there a culture where they feel they can provide proper feedback or take the time they need to maintain a certain “standard”.

Maybe. The issue is that people act different renting then they do at home. Rental cars, for instance are really abused. I would think that us DVC owners would treat a room like they own it, because WE DO! But no it gets treated more like a frat house. DVC doesn't help by going with cheaper materials that won't hold up to the abuse. You can also find evidence of how rushed the construction is during the refurb. Schedule is king and not quality job one. Maybe time has fogged my memory, but in the 90's things seemed to be better maintained and constructed at the resorts. Now instead of all shiny and bright, things are shabby around the edges. Its not just DVC resorts, but the parks as well.

On the resort side of things, we used to get daily mousekeeping, now we dont. Saves on expense, but I bet allows for more damage and abuse.

But price raising to equal profit for lower attendance is (and if Madam Leota could draw Walt Disney to her table..) ..is crazy & against original reason this park was built. This company is rich. Too rich. Oh no…please don’t do something that offends the stock holders. The Disney muffin top is too big. Slice salary off the top. Leave prices nearing affordable for all at some point in their life AND limit attendance levels to heights similar to paid after hour events. Those events at 5-6 hours? Have an am park reservation & a pm reservation. Wrist bands for all!

But price raising to equal profit for lower attendance is (and if Madam Leota could draw Walt Disney to her table..) ..is crazy & against original reason this park was built. This company is rich. Too rich. Oh no…please don’t do something that offends the stock holders. The Disney muffin top is too big. Slice salary off the top. Leave prices nearing affordable for all at some point in their life AND limit attendance levels to heights similar to paid after hour events. Those events at 5-6 hours? Totally agree, especially about top level pay scale. Maybe we should start a stockholder revolt over it

But the Presidential Suites are immaculate…. so they know how to build higher quality and provide a very high level of maintenance…. they are actively choosing a lower standard.

I can say that they for sure are not doing Covid level cleaning these days. I havent complained here about it, but mousekeeping for sure is either under staffed or staffed by people who dont care as much as they used to. Noticed at both DLR resorts.

Their theatrical division has been in the tank (I’m glad zootopia is doing well) and they are spending BILLIONS over the next decade to expand/“improve” Disneyland and Walt Disney World….

They have $35 BILLION in debt less cash and cash alternatives.

Im not on board with the billion dollar investment in AI they announced today. Id rather them invest that in parks and good real animated movies.
