Yep. Only our 2nd DVC stay here. First was June 2024.

We will be in a 1-bedroom next June so I'm really looking forward to that.

I'm so torn...I really like the view of the parks but the noise (bands, parade, WOC) does get annoying to me.

Oh yeah...we stopped by the sales center here and got the snowflake ornament and some post cards. I asked if we needed an appointment to tour VDH and she said no. We could just stop over there or someone from here could take us over via golf cart.

Quick update.

Beds are comfortable. I prefer the murphy bed mattress for some reason.

Dresser is slightly sticky.

Toilet seat was loose and moving all over so maintainence came to tighten that up while we were in the park. But the seat is still just in bad shape. Not what you would want in a nice hotel, by any means.

Shower head is pretty bad too. I will take pics later.

Otherwise, everything else is exactly as before, which is fine.

Sadly, I dont think it's okay for everything to be the same as last time after a costly refurbishment.

VDH is very quiet so that is a plus.

We were in the HA 1bd at VDH once and it was pretty loud in the morning when they were cleaning the pool area. Lots of loud beeps…

Having stayed on all 3 sides of VGC, only way to avoid the night time noise are the pool view rooms (x507 for 1BR). The noise is noticeable even in the Redwood Creek view rooms (x51x).

If you are that sensitive to noise then IMO you need to commit to a white noise machine.

I got mine at the DVC office at VGC last week. They gave me a ton of swag (ornament, coasters, postcards, and yet another drawstring bag).

We visited the lounge Saturday, but no ornament. Although we didnt ask for one there.
