The Villas at Disney's Grand Californian Owners & Lovers Group - 3.0

Even though I don't need more points, I've already told my husband we would 100% add on if they add a DVC wing over there. I haven't been inside in years. I had no idea that they had a gift shop. Since the ones at the other hotels are my favorite gift shops on property, I will need to check it out.
I think the themeing is great, we had a lot of fun at the golf course, the pool area is really neat, above the lobby, fun looking crush slide and a whole area of games and cute themed elemental fireplaces. Love the gift shops its pretty large and has a lot of cute things, even the art kiosk found at the Riviera.

You Can watch the fireworks from atop. I think itd be a great addition to dvc if they could somehow pull it off in the future! My only complaint is lack of restaurants or at least get rid of maple and do a disney owned restaurant . No idea why they chose a chain restaurant. Pixar charscter breakfast would be amazing or ratatouille restaurant.

Concept art for coco suite looks great. Def will rent out points for a stay in the near future!

Just did online check-in for next week! Woohoo! I can't remember if I put in any room requests. Maybe "upper level" but not sure. Started packing some things yesterday. Going to do my Instacart order on Saturday for a Sunday evening delivery. Getting excited!

We haven't been to Disneyland at Christmastime since December 2018. We stayed at the Desert Inn and did wander over to the Grand to visit the lobby briefly one night.

I was obsessed with this ornament.....

Our son, age 5 at the time, really enjoyed the guy playing piano.

Back then, I didn't think we'd ever be able to stay here. Sometimes I still can't believe we have DVC and will have so many stays over the next few decades!

Really looking forward to passing by the tree in the lobby on the way to the parks every morning.

Have a great time, so exciting. The pianist they have is good. Our baby loved listening to the music and grooving away.

I really hope the quick service outdoor seating at Craftsman isn't overly crowded when we go down for breakfast. Strangely, sitting out there for breakfast each day is something I look forward to the most (even though we'd save money by eating in our room.)

It's relaxing out there. But also, since our son prefers to stand while he eats, there's plenty of space for him to do that without getting in anyone's way. The inside seating is a bit too close together. Crossing my fingers that we can get an outdoor table each day!
