Has anyone done a grocery delivery to the grand recently? Who did you use?

In the past, we always just went to Target and got stuff ourselves but we just don't feel like doing that. At WDW, we've done Walmart delivery and Instacart.

I'm thinking of doing Instacart for our Disneyland trip in December but wanted to see who others have used.

Also, without whatever you used, did you meet the delivery person in the lobby or just have it dropped off? (We aren't purchasing any alcohol.)

I haven't done it, but have read reports of people using Von's. Von's has their own app and they contract with drivers from all the other services (ubereats, door dash, etc). I'm not sure if you have to be in the lobby for delivery. I would just to keep it easy.

Is Doordash the same kind of thing as Instacart? Is it better?

I've literally only used Instacart once in my whole life (at WDW.) We never do any grocery or fast food delivery or anything.

Similar yes, I think it’s mostly for lunch/meal delivery, but they do grocery stores too. I use them for both pretty often.
Mostly just because I already have an account.

We have a June stay booked and the disclosure is not on there. The new club lounge and Napa Rose remodel should be done…. hmmm….

I have no idea what that could be. They've been undergoing a lot of projects lately and I thought they would be done way before that time.

The "allow for extra travel time" part is making me wonder. Does it usually say that when there are construction alerts?

That's the only elevator I've ever used in the hotel. If it's down, which one would we use instead?

You could use the ones in the main lobby and then walk around the lobby area and through the halls to the V-C wing. I’ve done that a couple of times out of curiosity.

At the very end…. I’m hesitant to put exact days because I know people can look up names and addresses of when people purchased contracts based on the ROFR thread and the internet lives forever…

Ah. We typically go later in June but this time we arrive on the 13th.

Now I'm going to make a fake reservation to find out. I've been planning on booking Nov or Dec next year, but I might not if something's going on them . I'm hoping it is making the elevator function with the room key. That's so much better than having security stand there and check keys.
