I gotta get me a west-coast based guide! My guide never knows when VGC points become available

Mine is FL based. I called him after @AstroBlasters posted he knew these points were available. They were gone. I was surprised when he called me this am, I assume he checked for me today since our original convo was just a couple days ago.

Yeah, I'm not attached to mine. My original guide retired and I was assigned a new one after. But I've never bought points from her so don't feel any "loyalty." Though she seems like a nice person and has sent some DGCs our way occasionally

I didn’t love mine that I got when chatting in online. I ended up reaching out to a guide here that many recommended and he is my guide now. Bill Koontz.

My guide was CA based, but he moved to WDW in 2020 during he Covid shutdowns. I like him and when he calls he likes to chat about the city I live in. He liked the area I live a lot.

Made it! We’re on the 5th floor, Grizzly Peak view. The pool view balconies are closed because the entire pool side facade is being reworked.

New flooring, appliances, carpet, Murphy bed (Bambi and mother), cushions…

Definitely a softer padding to the carpet on floor 5…. and a “refurbished” smell….

DCA early entry line report at 7:15am

1) VGC Side- Line was past the grills…. that’s a pass from me

2) Napa Rose Side- Got in @ Story Tellers…. they are checking to make sure everyone has a GC reservation in line…

Yeah, but we get on Pacific time pretty much immediately. Especially when we drive.

Also, we like sleep. And a relaxing breakfast at Craftman.

I am all about efficiency on my first day or two. Sleeping or eating when lines are very short and then napping or relaxing when lines are long.

We did our very first rope drop this trip. Typically I am a stroll in the parks at 11am and stay til they make us leave person but my adult daughter is not so we rope dropped. We were able to ride Radiator Springs without waiting a lifetime or paying extra, that was amazing. And somehow my old self was still able to make it til 10-11pm

My son stopped liking RSR. So in the future, I may have to just sneak out early and ride it. Shouldn't be too difficult when staying at VGC. I bet I could ride it and be back in the room pretty quickly.

Yes! Especially with the new entrance by corn dog castle. The line was pretty long and took us 20 min when we arrived at 7:30 but the wait was still under 20 minutes for RSR.
