Very unexpected for Kat to show already and Damon kissed her. Wait until he finds out who he was smooching. A little BS that he did not know right away but I will give it a pass.

Very interesting with the "wolf thing". Are they shapeshifters or werewolves?

Funny bit of trivia....I caught an episode of an old series called "Wolf Lake" in which the characters are shapeshifting wolves. "Stephan" was a shapeshifter in that series.

I agree. I thought it was a little odd that Damon would not have known that the Elena he was kissing was not Elena with all that extra vampire sense and all.

While that is sticking in my craw.... WHAT A SCENE!!! I was so happy that Elena had finally given up on Stephan and was going to Team Damon! Why would anyone want to be with someone who broods all the time? Give me a guy with some excitement! Plus, Damon is HOT!

I can't wait for next season!

LOVED the ending. I rewinded and watched it a couple of times. I really like how Jenna opened the door and told Katherine that she should come inside! Perfect! I never suspected a thing.

I totally agree. I hate the True Blood show, but I LOVE the books and can't read them fast enough. I have the most recent one now. Starting it tonight!!!

This is one show that I can't wait the the first season to come out on DVD. I'd love to have a Vampire Diaries marathon and watch them all.

It was awesome! I fear that the LOST finale will pale in comparison to this one.

Tyler and his dad are werewolves in the Vampire Diaries books, so they may very well be in the series too.

That was sooooo good!

The kiss was HOT!!! I was in shock thinking Elena would do this right after she vehemently declared to Stephan she loved him. I was totally taken in!

I also watched the True Blood trailer a couple of times. Unlike, TruBlu I love the series sooo much better than the books (which I have been reading for years). I haven't even read the newest one yet. The reviews are lukewarm and it is not available on Kindle yet. But I can't wait for the series!

I am really liking VD though. When does the new season start?

I just downloaded the season finale to my iPod. I now have the entire season. Its such a great show! I knew going into last nights show Katherine's appearance would be the cliffhanger. So the moment Damon approached "Elana" I knew it was Katherine. The way she spoke and her actions totally gave it away. It sealed it when she went into the kitchen and started playing with the knives in front of John.

The audiobooks are avaliable on iTunes, has anyone ever downloaded them? Any reviews?

Also, the entire cast except Paul (Stefan) is on Twitter always leaving messages to their fans. Nina (Elana), Sara (Jenna) and Candice (Carolyn) went to an awards ceremony last night, the show won and Candice posted pics.

Just watched it , I was having a stroke. Best episode yet , I was so confused for a moment when C cut off Jon's fingers.

I think Damon may suspect something was up , he had the weirdest look on his face.

One thing: Why didn't Damon know it was Katherine??? I thought Vampires could tell another Vampire right away. I did catch the mystified look on Damon' face after he kissed her but I thought he was surprised that she kissed him back and didn't say no.

I still can not get over how good last night's episode was. I watched again this morning and was still in suspense the entire time even though I knew what was going to happen.

I am anxious to find out if Jeremy does become a vampire. That would open up a whole new storyline and create a lot of drama.

It was awesome, I do think Damon knew something was up, re-watched the episode and he did make a face. If Katherine is there in the house still maybe Damon will run in to help Elena and poor Ana and Jeremy I do not want to wait for next season

i did NOT see that ending coming AT ALL!! i LOVED it tho!!!

i just hope Damon goes back to being all evil and "i want to kill everyone" i don't like sappy Damon....


and i feel really bad for Jeremy. he has no friends, his girlfriends keep getting killed, and his family hardly even pays attention to him. he really needs a friend that will sit there and say "i want you to live, Jeremy. i want you to be here." you know?

Well, there you go. I haven't read the books at all, so I didn't know Tyler and his dad are werewolves in the Vampire Diaries books. I just remember somewhere online speculating that they could be werewolves - so I guess they also read the books. Pretty cool!

Unbelievable season finale and a really awesome show, all the way around!!
