I wanted to get this out however possible as I am telling friends and family and whoever else I meet. I may sound like a conspirator, but I am merely passing along info I researched with an open mind, as I hope you read this with an open mind as well.

If you or a loved one has Cancer or another chronic disease and it is not too late, please try to eat healthy, natural, vegetables and such. Doctors will not tell you this as it is ILLEGAL for them to tell cancer patients to try natural remedies. The government and pharmacies make a lot of money on cancer so they made it illegal for doctors to suggest a vegetarian or vegan diet.

There is much I still have to research, so someone may chime in on specifics... and if you're one with more knowledge than I please post what you will.

Research "The Gerson Therapy" and you will find a natural treatment you may want to try. If it was not too late for my mother, I would have suggested she try it instead of or along with Chemo and Radiation.

I just can't believe our (the USA) government would be such @$$%&!*$ to ignore the corrective treatment for this disease and/or chronic diseases. It's really aggravating and frustrating. Google it to find out more for yourselves.

Here is a random quote from a website when I googled "natural cancer medication in the usa"

    Taken from this website -

There are many websites and many combinations of things to google, so type what you think and look at a website that may look good to you.

The Gerson Therapy seems to be a popular treatment for those interested. I bought the book and am looking to finish reading it. I uses a detox method by eating strickly vegan food and using coffee enemas. I'm not looking forward to the enema, but if I have to I will. For now, I will definitely start eating healthier, if not totally vegan, at least juicing and low fat/salt foods.

Thanks for hearing me out. I hope this country can move in a new direction someday, and hopefully lower the cancer rate as it is the highest cancer rate in the world.

Did Steve Jobs try some of the natural therapies? Didn't work for him. I think natural and medical treatments can work together to cure cancer.

To be frank, coffee is not supposed to enter your intestine from that end. Did you consider what type of carcinogens might be in coffee before you start using it in your colon? There are definitely benefits to eating healthy and following a healthy lifestyle and everyone is free to try their own medications, but the US has a much higher cancer cure rate than the rest of the world, because we have earlier diagnosis. Chemo and radiation suck to be sure, but to say that people are deliberately not working for a cure, in order to make more money is just flat out wrong. Alternative therapies are just that, alternatives. Do not disparage those who work tirelessly every day to save patients and research a cure. Have you ever considered that the person selling you the "miracle detox diet" is trying to sell books and make money? Cancer is a terrible disease, there are no easy answers. Everyone is free to try alternative remedies if they wish, but don't question the motives of the providers who are trying to save patients and are working to find a cure.:rolleyes2

That's how I used to think. And surely, the enemas are rough (I imagine, never tried) but you are living in a happy bubble. Do some research with an open mind.

Let's just try and keep this to Coping and Compassion please.

I love the idea that this is not a judgemental board, but rather somewhere we can give/get some courage, some warmth, and understanding.

    Thank you everyone

I had a guy who sold candles and scented oils suggest that all I might need would be his aroma therapy.

He actually thought I might buy it.

I did want to buy candles, but after that load of horse hockey, I wouldn't have given him a penny.

People will say almost anything (and take advantage of other folks' desperation) just to make a buck. They are scum, of course, but they've always existed and are not in short supply even today.

Someone will buy his candles because he tells them it will take their cancer away and he'll make an extra $13 or whatever.

    Nothing new there.

One of my friends was a very cautious eater, i.e. healthy foods, and a very good triathlete, which requires being strong and active to be as successful as he was. Started feeling not well and passed from cancer.

At 62 with plenty of arthritis and joints that should be replaced or repaired, a heart murmur since young childhood, still recovering from a broken neck plus other issues, I have good days and bad. I eat healthier than most. Have the Disney 5K, Half marathon and in 2 weeks and 10 minutes from now will be starting the Full Marathon, plus a full Ironman triathlon next November even though I only just started to swim, I am trying to stay healthy yet there is no guarantee that I will not get cancer or trip on a crack in a sidewalk and die.

What ever floats one's boat because we will all die sometime in the future.

    Good luck to you.

A dear friend to our family, a young healthy man in his early 30s, was diagnosed with advanced melanoma. He too tried the Gerson Therapy, unfortunately he lost his battle with cancer and left behind his wife and 2 young daughters.

There is no miracle cure for cancer, but eating right from the start is always a good idea. You can't just expect to eat whatever you want and then try to change everything when cancer turns up. It's a life long commitment, and pretty hard for most Americans to keep up with given the opportunity to eat on the run, i.e. fast food.

My best to anyone fighting cancer. If it were me I would not rule out medical intervention, or natural healing. I think I would use both to make the most out of whatever time I had left.

I don't know where you get your info, but every doctor I have been to has encouraged me to eat a healthy diet. I've had melanoma twice, my dad had lung cancer, and many other family members and friends have had cancer - and all were encouraged to eat well, cut out empty carbs, and eat foods rich in antioxidants and other vitamins. Of course, as violetrose stated, we should do that all the time!

The generalization of eating healthy is a no-brainer. I'm talking about a doctor strictly putting you on a vegan diet, or juicing diet, or something along those lines. Nope, it's straight up chemo and/or radiation, or prescription drugs. They are prohibited to lead you into natural holistic diet in the USA.
