It sure was fun and informative hanging with you guys all day (and the past weeks). But I am glad that's over! PHEW!!!

Yea you too was a lot of fun. Now lets hope it was all worth it and maybe we can do it again when they announce it will start serving breakfast LOL

My experience this AM was not as bad as I thought it would be.

I called on landline and cell phone at exactly 7AM; I was put on hold with the Disney music on the landline, but on cell never got through - constantly busy. I was on hold for 36 minutes and then a CM answered and I got my 1st choice on 12/18 with the time being just about 40 minutes earlier than I wanted, but hey beggers can't be choosers.

I hope all goes well for those that did not have a great experience today.

I went to DTD Guest Relations again at around 3pm and they still said they could not do 180+10 bookings there, but they offered me a phone and said to dial 0 and ask for Dining Reservations.

I did so was was speaking to an advisor a few seconds later. Once we got my hotel booking info entered, we found 5pm, and then 7:05pm on 17 Feb (the day I wanted). Very happy bunny now.

I called 47 times. Yes, 47 times. I got through on the 48th call and was awarded with an estimated 75 minute wait (and I PAY for my long distance calls ). The CM was overwhelmed - so frazzled - she said she had NEVER seen Disney Dining like this before! She was kind though and looked at each and every one of my dates. November 26-December 6 and absolutely ZERO availability. Am I bummed? You better believed it! I already ordered my son a Beast costume and my daughter a Belle costume and now they have no dinner to wear it to! Am I blaming my lack of luck on the good luck of others who got 1, 2, or 10 reservations for themselves? Absolutely not. They paid their dues, they dialed and dialed until they got through to a CM, they rearranged their schedules to fit BOG in, and they had better luck than I did! Why in the world should I be mad at them?? They paid their thousands of dollars for their vacation just like I did - they are entitled to whatever reservation they choose! In fact, if they want BOG dinner every single night of their week long trip that should be just fine.... It's no different than me having two candlelight processionals booked for the most popular narrator, or three BBB appointments, or two CRT reservations... Some people really, really, really need to lighten up! I'm super bummed, my mom who is celebrating her 1st trip and probably her ONCE IN A LIFETIME TRIP is very upset, and my daughter actually cried - but why take it out on others? What good does that do?



Oh - and little tidbit of info. The CM I talked to was very helpful - very apologetic that there were no ressies during my stay - but reminded me about lunch. She said it will be a wonderful dining experience even at lunch. She also said that lunch will only be held in *ONE* of the rooms - the Castle Gallery with larger than life Belle and Beast rotating figures. This room will not be open during dinner per the CM.

They will not be canceling any ADR due to how many their are without cc everyone will be very upset so I'm calling back until they modify and put my cc on it because I'm freakin worried I'm up from 5 am lol

Sorry you did not get your dinner. You have a great attitude about it. You should check back tomorrow because from what these boards are posting, some adr's may drop off. Too bad for the people who may loose them. I would be really really upset if that happenened to me, but if they do fall off other people will scoop them up fast. Good luck

It took me until 2:30 pm today ( they CM finally picked up at 2:55 pm) to finally get through. Started at 7 am and kept trying redial over and over again for an hour, the had to go to meetings on and off during the day and hit redial whenever I could. We ended up with an early dinner reservation on December 23rd at 4:45 pm. Good timing, our annual passes expire on the 29th! Looking forward to seeing the park all ready for Christmas!

The only time I could get my entire week of vacation was December 12th at 4:45. I have Le Cellier lunch ressies at 2:25! I guess the upside is I won't be terribly hungry for dinner I tried making Le Cellier earlier but nothin'!

Can I ask why you booked 2 different days? I wasn't really bummed about NOT getting a reservation during our days until I read stuff like this.

I doubt our days coincide and it likely doesn't effect me but I got up at 530am like everyone else. Tried for HOURS and when I finally got through at 330 Eastern there was nothing left.

I just don't get it.

I was trying to be polite. But yeah. I wasn't upset at all until I saw people were getting two when I can't get one...even after more than 300 calls starting at 6am + 40 min hold time.

I think it is crappy to do on the 1st day. You want to wait a week & try again, do lunch...ok but on a high demand day. It seems icky to me.

And MY daughter, who loves Belle too doesn't get to go at all. So what is your point? I redialed for nearly 4 hours. Maybe if people (and I'm sure you aren't the only ones) weren't hogging reservations other people could have a chance too. Other little girls who love Belle and are on "once in a lifetime" trips could go too.

Those aren't my dates, it doesn't make a difference to me getting a reservation but let's not pretend that it isn't selfish.

Just my humble opinion but it all sounds like a bunch of sour grapes to me. You get what you get, someone taking 2 ADR's during their long trip doesn't sound like selfish to me. From what I gather she called seperate times and put in just as much time as you guys, she was just luckier. How is it any different when a TA calls up and takes away 5 or 6 of the precious ADR's for their clients. As long as rules are followed who cares what other people are getting, if she only took 1 ADR it wouldn't guarantee that you would get her other one. Get a grip.

I'm so sorry you didn't get a reservation. Hopefully one will open up for you. Very sad for your daughter.

And I completely agree. I can understand people being upset at people who are holding reservations they don't intend to keep, but if someone wants to eat there 5 times, are other Disney fanatics really going to judge?

I will pray that all of you who didn't get a reservation will get wonderful counter service with no lines.

Yes. I had to make a whole new reservation. Don't forget to cancel the old one-- the CM didn't think of it until I reminded her.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure he did because he said I would have a new reservation number (instead of the old one.) I had also already added the old reservation number to my WDW.com reservation info and when I logged in after I got off the phone, the old number was gone from my reservation and I was able to add on the new one

Just my humble opinion but it all sounds like a bunch of sour grapes to me. You get what you get, someone taking 2 ADR's during their long trip doesn't sound like selfish to me. From what I gather she called seperate times and put in just as much time as you guys, she was just luckier. How is it any different when a TA calls up and takes away 5 or 6 of the precious ADR's for their clients. As long as rules are followed who cares what other people are getting, if she only took 1 ADR it wouldn't guarantee that you would get her other one. Get a grip.

And I think it is greedy & rubs me the wrong way because I wouldn't even consider making more than one hard to get ADR per trip. Wouldn't book 2 CRTs, 2 CaliGrills, etc either. That just isn't how I operate. Too nice I guess.

I don't know how many times I called today, but I started at exactly 7am ET, and got through by about 7:24am. I finally got through at 8:55ET. I couldn't below how long I was on hold. I got 12/11 at 4:05pm. We have tickets to MVMCP this day, and will be entering the park at exactly 4pm. Do you think they will hold this reservation for me? If not, then I am going to upgrade to park-hoppers so I can have time to get to Be Our Guest. I worked very hard for this reservation, and I don't want to miss it! I will keep checking online for later times, but I don't think anything is going to open up.

I feel very sad for those who didn't get their reservations. I read on another thread where people were calling the Disney Store by "accident" and then got transfered into the phone queue. Those are the people who made all of our waits much longer. When the phone was answered, I was told it would be a 45 minute wait. It took me almost two hours for one phone call.

To all of you that don't have a reservation-I will hope for you that something opens up!!

I do wish Disney had proactively added a one reservation per call limit beforehand, but I agree that its not the fault of other guests that they didn't. If I found out a TA bagged lots of them for as yet unidentified clients I'd be pissed.
