The unofficial waiting to make Be Our Guest ADRs thread-8/20 7am

I'll weigh in- yes...I think it's going to be total insanity come Monday. Part of me is sooooo happy that the info is now out and the time is almost here to try and book and part of me is scared that I won't be able to get anything. It's not so much the openings, but getting through on the phone.

I also see pros and cons for the whole noon thing. I'm sure they're thinking that they want to get the standard 180 day traffic out of the way before dealing with this, but the reality...I think there are more - MUCH MORE - people wanting to call to book BoG...just b/c this is happening so far inside the 180 mark for so many people.

I just wish there would be something official posted about the time. I'm using vacay time to extend my lunch just in case it really is noon, but would really prefer 7am since it's a whole lot easier to do this from home with a late arrival at work. It just bites that with so many phone reps giving bad info- you never know when you can truly trust what they're telling you. :(

Just called and CM said they just received an update that BOG will now start booking at 7 AM on August 20th instead of noon. :thumbsup2
I NEVER believed the 12:00 noon booking time was correct. I always assumed they put that time out there so people would not slam the phones at 7:00 a.m. EST. I have always planned to be on the phone 6:00 CST on Monday morning to try to get our ADR for December 1. I'll bet they are completely booked up for November, December and January seatings before they hit 12:00 noon on Monday.

I have a question! The other few times I've called in to request ADRs I had to input my name, reservation #, etc.....is there a way to bypass that and get right to a CM or does everyone have to do that? It makes me so tense! Does everyone call 407-939-3463 (407-WDW-DINE)?

I was wondering the same thing. I know that on Free Dining Announcement Day, some people seemed to get through quicker using a more direct #.

I was also wondering what everyone's speculation on Dinner Hours is. I've looked and can't seem to find what dinner hours will be. Do you think it will be starting at 4:00 or 5:00? Just wondering because If I can only get a ressie on our MVMCP night, it'd be nice if it was at 4:00. :)

Thanks!

I called Disney Dining yesterday and was told 7am on the 20th to make reservations for BOG. I'll be calling at 7!

When we have to call we always go through DVC member services, they told me yesterday I'd be fine doing it that way on Monday (might be less traffic demand as DVC members < 6 months of guests).

The dessert menu doesn't make me drool. Cream puffs make sense but I'm really done with the much=over-played cupcake. I love the lunch menu though. Anyone else?

I would have to agree with you, I can understand cupcakes and cream puffs for dessert at lunch time but for dinner I would have expected something more like creme brulee. That being said I'm sure whatever they have will be delicious! :thumbsup2

Add me to the list of hoping for reservations in Dec. I hate having to drop one of my other reservations, but I know I'll be back and can go another time. Here's to hoping that we all get our reservations!

I think that the IPO has had enough of my "reminders", that is how many times I have "tried".

I am happy with the menu, I'll eat a cupcake and probably someone elses's cupcake :yay:

I also hope to get in there for lunch. I say kick Cosmic Ray's to the curb!

Agreed! I think the menu looks great cupcakes aside. I'm sure they'll be good, it just seemed so pedestrian compared to the rest of the menu. I, like the other 50 000 guests am going to try for a dinner reservation but really, I want to eat lunch there too, just can't fathom the sure to insane lines/wait though.

Also REALY REALLY hoping that once some people start to juggle their ADRs for BOG it opens up some other places I was previously unable to get - ie. 'Ohana!!!

I wonder if they've consolidated the menu..at least for the first few months of operation...because they know it's going to be a madhouse and they're worried about the kitchen's ability to keep up. Keeping it simple means they can push out more food, correctly, faster.

Honestly, I'm not impressed with the rather limited/small menu (kids and adult) for dinner. Everything on it looks good...it just seems like there are fewer choices than at other TS menu places. But we'll try to eat there, anyway. :)

The lunch menu seems about right.

Ok, show of hands---- who tried this morning, just for the "fun" of it !!!???

:yay:

My wife did.

She said the CM told her to try at 7 AM on Monday.

When my wife asked about the noon timeframe..the CM sort of gave her a "trust me..try at 7" response.

We'll see.

Love Ohana's! IMO the best part is the bread pudding... yummy:)

Of course everything official notes Noon on Mon, I find it interesting that the page they've set up with the info (i.e. not the press release)...

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/be-our-guest/

...just notes that reservations can be taken by phone on Monday. i.e. no indication of time...just date. Which under normal circumstances would imply calling in at 7am.
