Count us in as hoping Be Our Guest opens up in time for our visit (Nov 7-13)
There will be an awful lot of hard ticket parties going on when this opens. And TS is just at dinner.
Fess up....... is everyone willing to pay for a party ticket and use party time just to eat here?
Let me be first.......... I AM!![]()
Question for anyone...their 19 yo cousin who lives in FL also loves Princesses; and has a particular affection for Belle...is it possible for me to make the ADR for more than my party size? I'm thinking I could invite her to come meet us with a friend ( I know she'd have to pay her admission unless she has an FAP, which she may)
Why does this sound familiar??????
And since ADRs open up at THREE FREAKIN AM my time, I need to go get 3.5 hours of shut eye..... LOL
We'll be there 8 days and there are parties on 4 nights. Of course it would be ideal to get in right before a party, but I'm guessing those will go first. So I do expect the pickings to be slim.
I NEVER spend party time eating and don't understand anyone paying $60 for party ticket only to spend a big chunk of the evening in a restaurant. But this time I'm willing to do what it takes!

It should be ok as long as she has a ticket to get in MK. My party in Jan. is only two, but I am making dining reservations one night that includes DH family, so their will be 12 of us. When I called Disney Dinning they say that would be fine.
OK- as I sit here watching BatB w/my girls (in fact, BoG is the part we're on right now) I realized that I should probably start sorting out my top spots for BoG "the restuarant"
I have 4 spots out of 6 days where it might work for us IF it opens and IF I can get an ADR. So, maybe everyone else eagerly and not so patiently
awaiting the announcment (which could be months from now
) could help me rank my top 4 days.
So, here goes...
* Day 1 - we weren't planning on going to any park this day, but it's a consideration if this is the only day I can get. It's a MVMCP night- so obviously shooting for a pre-party ADR would be less painful to my wallet than one during the party. We've done the party once and have a "been there done that" feeling about it. i.e. glad we did it but don't need to repeat unless it's really special circumstances. On top of that- we currently have California Grill booked for this night and this was where I was planning on having DD3's big 4th bday cake. This is DD5's overall fave dining experience ever at WDW and w/Holiday Wishes being the show that night- it seemed like a really special way to start out the trip...but so would BoG.
* Day 2 - we are spending the day at MK and currently have dinner plans at 1900 Park Fare. MK is closing right after Wishes this night, so the current plan is to eat at 1900 PF, hopefully finish up in time to catch the ELectrical Water Pageant, and then watch Wishes from the dock. We've never done 1900 PF for dinner and it looks like we'd all have a good time with this one.
* Day 3 - this is another MK day. We have an 8am appointment at BBB, but if it's anything like last time- the hair will still be totally princessifiedby dinner time. Dinner plans this night are Tony's Town Square. We're trying to time it with MSEP since DD5 and DH have both been begging to try doing this. And I have to admit- if it works out and we get seated on the porch- I'm all for something that keeps me from fighting crowds on MSUSA. I love
MSEP - even in its current incarnation (I miss the old Dumbo section though) and this will likely be our only night where we'd see it (although it's evening EMH and if it's anything like last year's schedule- they added a 2nd parade for the night).
* Day 6 - this is another MK day, but it's also our departure day. Departure time isn't a huge issue since the current plan is to catch a late lunch at Sanaa and then drive down to south FL to spend Thanksgiving w/my family. Of course it would have to be an early dinner, but even with that- I'm sure my mom doesn't want us showing up too late since they'd like to spend time with us too. i.e. they live around 1,200 miles away so we need to make sure we get some nice time w/them as well.
Right now, I'm thinking...
1) Day 2
2) Day 3
3) Day 1
4) Day 6
Any thoughts? TIAHey- just passing the time w/working positively toward my BoG dream

The order you have looks like your best plan. Day 6 might be a bit of a stretch for a family to really enjoy the experience. Seems like you might have to rush too much to get on the road.
I hope you can get in earlier though!
Thanks! Yeah- after sleeping on it- decided this was the best plan...assuming (thinking positively) that it will be open for our trip.![]()
You know, beauty and the beast is on again today, and I can't remember the last time I saw it on tv. I'm curious if they might open up ADRs soon...I'll keep my fingers crossed!![]()
I know the feeling. The one time we did MVMCP- I decided to Cxl my pre-party ADR at Citrico's (still sad about that) just b/c I couldn't justify dinner there if I was rushing to get to the party and I couldn't justify the party if I was eating away at party time by dining.
It does sound like you really have to consider doing it on a MVMCP night, but who knows- maybe you'll luck out and be able to snag a pre party slot or one on a non-party night. It is kind of exceptional circumstances though...if you do wind up having to go to the party to do it- it might be kind of a cool way to start off MVMCP. i.e. dine there, then Holiday Wishes, parade, etc. Sounds kind of magical actually even though it definitely means more OOP. My ticker is all messed up, but we're going just before Thanksgiving- so the closest I want to be to MVMCP during our stay is watching Holiday Wishes from Cali Grill on our arrival night. It just feels - at least in theory - more relaxing that dropping off our bags and rushing into MK...still not totally out of the question if it's all I can get.![]()
I'll even do it during the firworks. It's honestly our #1 priority for this trip.Me too! Just not during the fireworks though.
I was thinking the exact same thing! We had just finished watching our copy of the movie - turned on the tv afterwards and saw they'd be airing the movie today. We get home from an early dinner out and it was on back to back on ABC Family. I'm hoping it's a sign of FLE related things to come and not just a prelude to an announcement that the movie is headed back to the vault.
I wouldn't be surprised if they do announce Beauty and the Beast is going back to the vault. Disney has put a lot of money into the fantasyland expansion, and getting a massive customer rush to buy the movie, limited edition merchandise, fill up the park (and BoG) to the max asap...if there was a time to do it, this would be it!![]()
Oh, I talked to my friend who's going at the same time. We're both set to do whatever it takes..... change our schedules...... add hopper option....... buy an extra set of party tickets....... threaten Mickey........... oops...... maybe not the last one..... but you get the idea.
I'm thinking being here on the DIS will be a huge advantage. But I bet we'll be competing with a TON of CM's with an inside track. I hope they all maybe get a special opportunity ahead of time so that's not the case.
I'll even do it during the firworks. It's honestly our #1 priority for this trip.
We just finished watching! We hadn't sat down and watched in forever. It really made me anxious to see Belle's village. I was hoping they'd add back Belle's enchanted storytime.... but maybe not since it might not be open for the early parties. At the very least the parties might be one of the least crowded times to check out the new Fantasyland things.

Isn't it due anyway? These signature movies never stay out indefinitely.
If I were in charge of marketing, I'd give it a little longer though so all the little kids with a renewed interest in the move (after visiting the new FL) can pick one up.
