And MY daughter, who loves Belle too doesn't get to go at all. So what is your point? I redialed for nearly 4 hours. Maybe if people (and I'm sure you aren't the only ones) weren't hogging reservations other people could have a chance too. Other little girls who love Belle and are on "once in a lifetime" trips could go too.

Those aren't my dates, it doesn't make a difference to me getting a reservation but let's not pretend that it isn't selfish.

Called at about 3:45pm today... took about 10 tries to get through and then about 40 minutes on hold. Got what I was told is the only ressie still available at BOG the week we will be there! Sunday Novemebr 25th at 4:00 pm. Very excited!

To me it implies that they want the area closed for MVMCP. I just can't imagine them having it open for something that doesn't generate additional revenue when they could fill those rooms with paying guests in a nono-second.

Oh no!! I booked this morning at 7 am before I had to leave for a teacher training, and I was so concerned about the automated system not asking for CC info, but I didn't have time to keep calling for another 15 minutes until I could get through to a person. Now I see that there's an issue and that reservations might be canceled? I got 4:45 pm for November 19. I called repeatedly for about 15 minutes and was able to book around 7:15 this morning. Hopefully we're ok!

Honestly, what would be the point of them shutting down the entire area? I actually think it would be a good thing to keep the new attractions open during mvmcp. Gives some of us a head start and lines will be more managable. Those of us who get to experience the new stuff at mvmcp won't have to stand in long lines during regular hours. Doesn't make any sense to me at all.

As you say, its more money to disney if they keep this area and BoG open all night. If it is this crazy to get into BoG now, how bad is it going to be to see any of the new attractions? I can only imagine....

Since Belle and Beast are a big character draw at the MVMCP, I wonder if they will be meeting people in Beast's Castle and therefore will want the diners out? That would make some sense at least.

I have called and spoken to 3 different agents who refused to add my credit card or transfer me to someone who could. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

We had one cell in the house we didn't even use. My daughter and I each had 2 lines and that was hard enough to man. We never did get through, but lucky that the friends we are traveling with did.

And this was one occasion that having a cracker jack travel agent really paid off. They had a separate line to call in on.

It sounded like people were using different phone #s, I guess I am confused. I had my middle schooler on my cell from 5:55-6:30am until he had to leave for school. I used land line 5:55-6:30 & kept going double fisted (land & cell) until 8:00am DH was at work hiding in his office dialing away from 5:55am until I got through. I was able to use the DVC line once it opened. I started on that # at 7:55 & got through 8:00am sharp. Phew!

I had a hard time sleeping last night due to the excitement/anxiety. Once I sealed the deal, I started hearing BoG song in my head all day LOL.

Small World Vacations (SMV) were so helpful in achieving ressies before DVC. This our first big trip as DVC members (our 10th trip total). I remember doing this same song in dance many times for CRT, that took me 5 trips to get (2008)! After that we started using SMV or on-line booking.

It is tough not to get the ressie that you want. I remember the disappointment, but it always gave me motivation to go back lol.

Can I ask why you booked 2 different days? I wasn't really bummed about NOT getting a reservation during our days until I read stuff like this.

I doubt our days coincide and it likely doesn't effect me but I got up at 530am like everyone else. Tried for HOURS and when I finally got through at 330 Eastern there was nothing left.

I just don't get it.

I agree that it’s a little selfish to book twice for dinner. Book one ADR and then do a lunch or something.

I was trying to be polite. But yeah. I wasn't upset at all until I saw people were getting two when I can't get one...even after more than 300 calls starting at 6am + 40 min hold time.

I think it is crappy to do on the 1st day. You want to wait a week & try again, do lunch...ok but on a high demand day. It seems icky to me.

The only thing with closing though is why open December 6th(or November 19th for that matter) if you are just going to close it for all those party nights? What's the point of opening for the Holidays then? Why not open in January?

I really hope that the reservations being 4-5:30 does not mean that the whole FLE area will be closed off! Hopefully it is to avoid non-ticket partiers staying in the area after 7 and then turning it into a special party event or new home to a special MnG!....one can only hope!

I have no idea why they would keep it closed during MVMCP. I'm just saying it seems like they have some reason to do so. Maybe they want that time fo more heavy lifting over on the Mine Train. Who the heck knows.

We're going to 2 MVMCPs. I sure WISH they'd keep it open. But it just isn't looking good for that.
