I called DVC around 9am and our first/second/third choices of 12/2, 12/5, and 12/7 had no availability at all. We did get a reservation for four on 12/3 thankfully. We will just have to park hop now, LOL!

I can't believe how fast Nov/Dec booked up!

Ok, I realize that this is part wishful thinking but I just don't see how they can cancel confirmed reservations without contacting the person first? They are aware their system did not ask. We wouldn't have been able to make the reservation without inputing the CC# if it did. They have our phone number. Yadda yada yada.

OMG - Just printed out my new confimation and reservation list and when I went back to "My Reservations", BOTH are showing on my list. I assume the one without the cc# will be automatically cancelled, but now I'll be paranoid until it updates properly that the system will see two ressies for the exact same time and place, cancel the one with the cc# and then the system update will cancel the original one. I swear, this whole thing is gonna give me a coronary......

I was still making my automated reservation when I saw the info on the CC so I held forever to be put through to an agent. She told me they couldn't add the info and I would be fine with my confirmation number. I decided I would call back later this evening when they have had time to figure things out.

BTW, I got a reservation for 2 people for December 1st @ 7:15 and cancelled November 30 at 4:20.

Thats what the 3 different cm's told me.. trying to call back again. Such a pita

Honestly, it sounds like you might want to try tomorrow morning at 7AM. If the system does what they say it will, there should be some openings. Just make sure you get thru to a person and leave a cc#!

Well if the cancellation process is automated there may not be a way to stop it from happening. One would hope so, but not something I would take for granted...........Laura

I have a reservation for 5 on December 12 @ 4:45 PM. The only girl in our family is a month old, and the boys would rather go to T-REX for lunch (so would I). That being said, is there a way to transfer this reservation to someone who will actually use/enjoy it?

I was transferred to someone as well after being on hold forever!!! (thankfully it didn't go to a survey). Try again, they were VERY helpful and efficient!!

frankly, that would be enough to make me cancel my Disney vacation and turn it into a US vacation. I WON'T take my money to Disney...I WON'T renew my APs...I won't stay on Disney property. In short, Disney won't get one dime out of me for a long time. I have paid for my airfare but everything else can be cancelled and re-booked at Universal.

I understand computer glitches...but Disney is big business and they have the capability to 'throw a switch' and exempt BOG from cc hold today. How many won't show up at BOG??? Seriously?

Disney needs to fix this NOW in the interest of customer service and good business.

I know! I was just told by Itinerary Planning that they had charge a penny to the credit card I just added to get it to hold, but that ALSO I should call back tomorrow to make SURE it held. Yikes! I even called back and added a credit card and it still might not work. So frustrating. I feel HORRIBLE for all of the people who booked automated thinking they have a reservation who are NOT checking this board.

Well if the cancellation process is automated there may not be a way to stop it from happening. One would hope so, but not something I would take for granted...........Laura

You run a global DB update that puts something other than null in the CC# field. It doesn't even have to be a working number.

Or...you remove BOG from the CC hold "list" of ressies (so the auto process doesn't run on it....like it doesn't run on the OTHER "non-CC hold" ADR's) until you can fix the problem.

There are ways to get pretty much every system to work exactly the way you want it to, when there is a Customer Service fubar type situation.

Called back and got an agent. She said someone else had the automated problem with the cc and they had to do a new ressie and cancel the old. Apparently if you make a new with the cc, the system may recognize 2 ressies for the same time. I got the exact same time with a new number.
