Hi! Just purchased the book! Thought I'd see if any others own this book and would like to comment on/discuss it. :thumbsup2

Great book particularly for newbies! I've been several times and still find it very informative......... especially since they deleted old info and added several new sections. It will give some positives and negatives, but is generally a real sense of how things work. Just remember - no matter how you attack the parks at Disney, relax and have a good time.

We used the UG for our 2001 trip, but now we don't need it. It is very fun to read while we are getting ready to go!

Just don't fall for the pour root beer on a diaper and tie it up in a baggie to hang from your stroller so no one will steal it trick. I have a few problems with this one: 1) Why root beer? Coke or Dr. Pepper would have the same effect, but each time this trick is repeated, it is said to use root beer. 2) Why would you waste a clean diaper by pouring root beer in it? Just use an actual dirty diaper. That way you won't have to go around hunting for root beer. ;) 3) Why would someone "save" a dirty diaper in a bag and display it so proudly when there are garbage cans every 20 feet throughout each WDW park?

We bought the 2006 book last December. We didn't bring it with us, but it was very informative for small details. I plan to reread it again before our next family trip in September.

DH bought the book. I really haven't seen it since!!!! He's always reading it. Seriously, I looked at it when he first bought it and it looked very good to me. It has a lot of info. in it. It will be coming with us on our trip. Maybe I can read it on the plane. Oh, we ahave a DD7 and DD6months.....maybe not!!! :)

We have 2005 and I wasn't sure if I should purchase 2006 or not. Is it much different?

I am a newbie and going in July. I got the book a few months ago and love it. I have got great tips and info I never knew out of it. It was well worth the $.

Does the book still list crowd level numbers for each and every calendar day of the year? I found this useful, but our book is from 2005 so I don't know what the numbers are for our trip next month.

I think that is a great book. I have used the '05 book for lots of planning for this coming trip. I also love our Passporter book.

I LOVE it! It is great for obsessive Disney people like me! It is still my favorite Disney guide.

I bought it, too. You can find continually updated info on when to visit each park on their website.

Yes it does. DD bought this book and the PassPorter for our trip. They are both very informative.

I also bought the 2005 book for our trip and wondered if I should invest in the 2006 book for christmas. Does anyone know if there are a lot of differences?

I loved the book for planning the first time.

I bought it too....and ended up giving it to my parents. I preferred their website and Tour Guide Mike's. :thumbsup2

I haven't checked put their web site, but my DD has Tour Guide Mike's and we like that. I think I will check out there site too.

I absolutely love the UG Book - very informative, I read with a yellow highlighter!!

and I also check out the www.touringplans dot com for their Best Days - lots of info on their blogs for free too!!

I LOVE UG. I used it on our previous trip and found the touring plans really helpful at getting us through the big rides and the Fantasyland stuff. Their website is also good for updated days to visit each park and touring plans when attractions are added or things change. Really, this book is by far my favorite book and one I've recommended to others. I like the tone, too. It's honest, sometimes brutally so.

This book is like WDW put into pages. LOL! I love it and I buy it every year.

I buy a new one for each trip! My family did not want to do the touring plans on our first trip, but after they saw how fast we got on each ride they quickly changed their tune! You can go to their website touringguides.com for updates. I know that the best days calendar has changed from the 2006 printed edition & they just posted new AK touring plans that they tested during Spring Break with EE opening. They also have alternative plans, not found in the book. For some of the info on the site you have to join for $7 I think.

What is the exact web address for the touring plans to go along with the Unofficial book? Thanks.
:)
