I totally know how you feel! Mine was pretty good. Oh, Mondays. Other than the fact that it was just a icky day of the week- my students were suprisingly well behaved and did exceptionally well today! But it seems they all are sick . One kid threw up today in Gym class (I'm so happy I wasn't there!) but apparently it's going around. Gotta keep washing my hands!

Other than that, just some wedding planning and lesson planning! Not too terribly exciting.

I'm glad that your students didn't give you any trouble today. Sorry to hear that so many of them are sick. I hope that they all get well soon. I hope that you stay well! Frequent hand-washing is definitely a good idea!


Any wedding planning updates?

: OH! DFiance and I just recently bought a book of "Who Dunits" (that's the Nancy Drew in me ) and we tried to solve a bunch. Surprisingly to DFiance, I got the majority of them right! I was very proud, hahahha.

Sounds like fun! I had a similar book once. Some of them were really hard. Mystery-solving is fun, though! I've started watching Murder She Wrote again. I hadn't watched that show in a long time. I also used to love the old Perry Mason shows, but I haven't seen them on TV in a while.

Carmen San Diego!!! I don't think that I ever played the computer game, but I did LOVE the show!! I especially loved the theme song. Rockapella was so cool! I miss them.

That theme song was amazing. My cousins and I always used to try and sing it. I have to find a video of that somewhere.

~*I Need Your Dress Help!!*~

I love this dress. I didn't think I'd like the "bunchiness" at the bottom but it looks very Princess-y on. Plus, it's corset in the back- slimming and holds the girls up and in! Hooray!

I do like this dress but I'm worried about the layers- I'm afraid I won't like it once the wedding comes since it's kinda different. Regardless, I do like it and love the train.

I love the second one. It just has a 'OMG look at her' factor to it. They're both gorgeous but this one is tops!

Wedding Reception Location!*~
It's in Gainesville, FL where I went to college and about 3 hours up the road from me. Thankfully, DFiance loves it. No one has seen it besides him and now, my UC sisters!

So they made the first round of layoffs today. One of the managers in another office was let go and two people in my office were laid off. One of them was Tena, who was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. Another was Ed, my lunch buddy and also from my department. I felt really bad because he'd had a bad day Saturday (he got stuck here til 5!) and I think was angry at us for that. And then this happens; plus, it was effective immediately. They were told to clean out their desks and leave. Ed and I started on the same day and he was the one that got shown the door. My boss said that this was it for this office. There's going to be a second round but this is the office that is going to be spared. I hope that's true. I just can't believe it was such short notice like that!!!

Yesterday, I called out. We had a snow storm and up north didn't get hit as bad, maybe 4-5 inches. But where I live it was more like 9 or 10. I was going to come in, I shoveled my car out and everything, and as I was about to walk out the door I saw that it was snowing again. So I told my boss if she really needed me, I'd come in but she said she didn't think it'd be busy and told me to stay home. I live 30 miles from my office so yeah...I didn't really feel like making that drive in the snow!

I'm sorry to hear that some of your co-workers got laid off. That's awful that they just had to pack up and go without any real warning. That's just wrong. It makes me so sad to see that so many people have been losing their jobs. I'm so glad that your job seems to be secured. I pray that no one else in your office will be laid off.
