I posted over on the conservative board about Operation Smiley. I'll see what other threads I can spread the word on.

Basically the book is about a group of people who lose money after investing in a scam and they go about getting it back in some rather peculiar ways... very intricate, involved plans that are so amazing, you'll fall off your chair. The first time I read it, I couldn't put it down, I read it in one night.

Oh, and it was published awhile ago, so it's in paperback and can be found at most used bookstores.

It is a cool book. My mom got it for me for Christmas last year, it's one of her favorite books. My dad liked it too and my aunt, so it seems that lots of different people like it.

I have no idea how Jeffery Archer came up with some of the plots in the story. They're genius!

I got invited to a baby shower at the end of the month, so I have to go buy a baby gift. Any good ideas?

They don't know the sex so you're supposed to wear blue to the party if you think it's going to be a boy or pink if you think it's going to be a girl. I think I'll be difficult and wear purple!

I got invited to a baby shower at the end of the month, so I have to go buy a baby gift. Any good ideas?

I think that may go shopping tomorrow. I need to get a few things. We were supposed to have gotten together with some friends today, but that ended up getting postponed. So, it looks like it'll be another blah weekend. I think that I'll look up some more info for Rora's wedding and try a couple more new recipes. I'll see. I been doing quite a bit of research because my family and I planning to move some time this year. We'll still be in the State of Confusion, but we'll be moving to the west side.


Hmmmmm, baby shower gifts....... Do they have a gift registry? If not, you could get an age-appropriate toy for the baby. Or how about a really cool diaper bag? You could also get them a gift card for Babies 'R' Us or some other store where they sell lots of baby items. I'll try to think of more gift ideas. By the way, I think it'd be hilarious if you wore purple to the baby shower. Do it!! I dare you!!!




ETA: I just realized that my post count is currently 1,776!! Awwww, I feel all patriotic 'n' stuff! In honor of the occasion, I'll post a cute Three Stooges joke that I heard recently.

I don't know if they have a registry. I'm thinking about maybe a gift card to a spa for a massage or something? I'm a turtle fan, obviously, so maybe I'll hunt down a cute turtle toy. I've never had kids, so honestly, I'm not sure what to get. I've heard horror stories from my hockey buddies about them having to run out for maxi-pads after their wives have given birth, maybe I'll save her husband some grief and get her a box of those...

I'm going to wear purple. Ha ha ha. It's going to be hilarious! They won't know which category to put me in!

As for where we're moving to.........you'll have to drive a ways on Interstate 24 1/2. You'll see the west side of the State of Confusion off the turnpike. Keep driving until you see the welcome sign. If you see a sign that says "Point of No Return", you've gone too far.

The TV switchover thing was pretty funny, but I can't help thinking that it's probably a reality for a lot of elderly people. I wish that they weren't doing this stupid TV transition thing. Our TVs were fine the way they were. Anyway...........

As far as I'm concerned, that's the only reason to go to IKEA! But I do like some of the stuff they have there. I'm going to buy some lingonberry sauce. MMm, good!

You can smell those meatballs a mile away. I love their furniture, too. I really love Scandinavian-style furniture. I've never tried the lingonberry sauce, but I've heard before that it was good.

I've heard people explain it before. I even watched a question/answer show on PBS about it. It seems like it's going to more of a headache rather than a help. You won't believe how many people are already having problems with their new converter boxes...........and the transition hasn't even happened yet. The one expert said that since it's a digital signal, there will be people who won't get any service at all, with or without the box. There are tons of other issues, but I'd rather not talk about this anymore. It's, like, totally downing my vibe!




Purple food recipes would be fun. I think we should find some.

Hey, Jenny! Geez, I'm feeling left out. I want a burger!!!! White Castle burgers are good. My family and I like to have them once in a while. There are no White castle places here, but we can get the frozen kind at the store. It's not as good as the fresh ones, but it's better than nothing. I scrape off all of the onions, though. Yeah, I said it!! Please don't have me arrested!!!


So, how are you today?

I know I'm delayed but I'm good! I left almost right after I posted that. I'm glad I only have to do that shift every other Saturday. 7-3. Bleck. Who comes to a travel agency at 7 am? No one, that's who! I miss my old office, when we came in at 9. They combined our office with a car care center. They open at 7 but that makes sense because they actually get business that early. I don't like having to wake up at 5:30 to be at work, especially when I know no one is coming for us until 10-11. Plus, there's a whole bunch of creepy guys that work on that side of the building!!

Other than that complaint, my weekend was ok. Other than watching the Rangers being shut out, I went to Macaroni Grill. YUMMY!

My sister had a clearance at her store (she manages an Anne Taylor Loft) and she picked up a few things for me. One of them being a purple long sleeved shirt!

Happy MLK Day!! I hope someone has off from work today. I won't get into politics but I am happy that tomorrow is the inaugaration-we don't have to teach! The kids get to watch all day on TV (which seems a little exessive.. they're like 9-I know it's important but they probably won't remember much of it later-but I'm excited I don't have to teach!! Woohoo! )
