No, they don't sell them anymore. They should bring them back.

But they should not bring back New Coke. Yuck!!!!!!

Too bad!! :guilty: They should bring those back.

I was never a big soda drinker, but I know that a lot of people HATED New Coke. Most people I know hated Crystal Pepsi, too. Remember that?

How about a little Jazzercise?

Jazzercise

:lmao: I know that you can still take Jazzercise classes at some places! I was tempted to take a class once. :teeth:

::yes:: :thumbsup2 :banana:

You're welcome!

I miss my old bike, too!!!

:rotfl: :rotfl:

Hey, Honu, I'd better get to sleep now. This was so much fun! We'll definitely have to continue this tomorrow. I'm going to think of more things to add to the "You know that you grew up in the 80s if......." list.

Oh, before I go, are any of the hotties coming over tomorrow?

Ahhh, I love reliving the 80's. What a great time to be alive! :thumbsup2

Nope. HC is gone now, he went back to the other side of the state. Don't know when he's coming back. HEG fixed the electronics problem for now, but I think we got a faulty remote, so I think I might be seeing him again... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Night! Talk to you tomorrow!

Too bad!! :guilty: They should bring those back.

Maybe I'll write to the popsicle company and see if they'll bring them back. :confused3

Crystal Pepsi was gross!

I might take a Jazzercise class sometime...

Remember the Imperial Margarine commercials? I always wanted my mom to buy it so I could get the crown. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, too bad. :guilty: Well, I hope that HEG can come over again soon.

Yup, it is fun to reminisce. It was a great era! Well, some of the fashions weren't so great, but.........

OK, talk to ya later. Good night! :wave2:

Yes, you should write to them!! Tell them to make sure that Bill Cosby is in their commercials, too!

Yes, I remember those commercials! I leave you with this:

:teeth:

OK, good night!! :wave2:

Sigh, I identified with almost all of them... :confused3 :rotfl2: I miss the 80's!

Anyone remember Head of the Class? I loved that show!!!!!!

Yes! Brad Pitt made a cameo on that show! He played someone's boyfriend!

Um, you forgot Livin' on a Prayer!!!! Love, love, love that song!!!!!!!

This song is played at the end of every wedding I've ever been to. I went to school in WV and this would come on in bars and everyone would just look at me and yell 'JERSEY!'

Oregon Trail was this totally RAD computer game where you had to pretend to be a pioneer and make it across the Oregon Trail. The graphics were so cheesy, but the game was sooooooooooooooo cool!!!!!!!!!

Remember you could read the headstones of people who had perished along the way? That's how you knew who else was using your computer. Did anybody play a game with this guy Nigel in it? He searched for animals. Oh oh and where in the world is Carmen San Diego??

It is. I was watching some of U2's videos on On Demand yesterday. Too funny!

Bono's mullet rocked my world :lmao: I love U2.

I absolutely loved these shows.

How many pairs of LA Gear shoes did you have? Did you weave the multi-colored laces?

Remember candy cigarettes and Bazooka bubble gum?

I had so many pairs of LA Gear!! Remember the Cali license plate keychains that came with them?? And I totally rocked the multi-colored laces!

You can still get candy cigarettes! They have this candy store in Atlantic City; it's all candy from when we were kids. They have those wax bottles with the juice inside. SO GOOD! Bazooka lost it's flavor too quick.

How about a little Jazzercise?

Does anybody remember Get in Shape Girl? They were these aerobic cassette tapes that came with a poster to show you how to do the moves. They were for like middle school/high school aged girls. Used to do it all the time!

So I got an email from the president of our company last night that they're going to be making layoffs or cutting back hours. Great. :sad2: After they just spent a small fortune to open up this fancy new office. I'm hoping I get to keep my job. I don't mind if they cut my hours because when I first started I was only working 35 and not 40 but I can't lose my job all together. I refuse to go back to waiting tables. If I had to do it part time, whatever, but I do not want to go back to doing that full time. Keep your fingers crossed for me girls!

No signs of JB yet. I'm such a loser because I got to work before him and killed a couple extra minutes in my car fixing my hair and makeup hoping to get a glimpse of him (this is at 7 AM mind you) but no such luck. He still wasn't there by the time I got out of my car. I know he's here somewhere though...

I was watching the Simpsons yesterday and it was a Treehouse of Horror episode. They opened and closed the show with the Perfect Strangers theme. It was amazing.

I hope you girls come on to chat today! I'll be here til 3!

Hey Ladies!!!

Whew did I miss you all!! I got home last night pretty late from visiting my roommate from college. It sure was a trip! We spent a lot of time on UF's campus and then did some shopping! It was nice to see her but now I remember why I never slept in college-- she's a chatty cathy, like us, and loves to party.. :rotfl:

I hope things here on the UC have been fabulous!! I'd attempt to catch up but right now I'm going to pick up my mom and DFiance's sister to go Wedding Dress shopping!! Wish me luck!! Hopefully I will be able to chat tomorrow!!

Have a great Saturday!!!

EDIT: Jenny, I just read your post. Your in my thoughts about your job! Don't worry!!

Hi Rora! :wave2:

Welcome back! I'm glad you had a great trip. Have fun dress shopping today. I hope you find your dream dress. :)

And thank you. I'm trying not to worry and I don't think anything will happen right away but...it just sucks. I'm worried because I haven't been here a year yet and if they base it on seniority (which I think is unfair if I bring in more revenue than other people), then I'm screwed. I'll try to put it in the back of my mind. :worried:

I am a big dork. I am almost done watching disc 1 of the Square Pegs series! The joys of what you find on Netflix!

Oh oh and where in the world is Carmen San Diego??

Carmen San Diego!!! I don't think that I ever played the computer game, but I did LOVE the show!! I especially loved the theme song. Rockapella was so cool! I miss them.

Oh my gosh, I totally forgot all about those little wax bottles!! :rotfl: Those things were so cute. That's cool that you can still find them. I wanna visit that candy store!!!

Sorry, I wasn't around to chat with you today. I see that you came on earlier this evening. Too bad I wasn't on the DIS then!

Welcome back, Rora!! :yay: I'm glad you had a great time on your trip. Can't wait to hear all about it later on! :woohoo:

I guess I misunderstood you 'cause I thought that you were going on a major dress-hunting trip or something. I hope that you had fun wedding dress shopping today. Did you find THE dress yet? I hope so!!

Unfortunately, I won't be around to chat 'cause I'll be out all day tomorrow, but we can catch up on Monday or something. Can't wait to read your mini-TR!!

One of my favorite U2 videos ever. It's a recent one.

Cool! Thanks for sharing! :thumbsup2

Hi Syrreal! :wave2: Nice to have you back on the UC thread. How have you been?

Don't worry, you may be a dork, but you're a dork in good company. Did you read through all the "remembering the 80s" dialogue from the other day? There was a whole lotta dorkiness going on! :rotfl: :lmao:

I love us. :grouphug:

~*I Need Your Dress Help!!*~

I am so so excited. Yesterday was my first day shopping and I know you aren't supposed to even think about buying the first dress you love but I have narrowed it down to two. We spent all day trying on every type of dress and thankfully, I don't feel the need to keep trying on more (whew was it tiring! :faint: :rotfl: ). So right now I'm stuck between 2 dresses and need your opinions (links to follow!)

I wanted to save money (thanks to the economy and all) and really couldn't justify going to the cute little boutiques like the rest of the brides to be in my family went to (they paid so much money for their dresses!), so with my DMom and DBff/DFiance's sister in tow, we hit David's Bridal and Alfred Angelo.

Here are the two dresses. One is from David's.. one is from Alfred.

http://www.davidsbridal.com/webapp/...tegory=-49999486|-49995498&catentryId=1000366

I love this dress. I didn't think I'd like the "bunchiness" at the bottom but it looks very Princess-y on. Plus, it's corset in the back- slimming and holds the girls up and in! Hooray!

http://www.alfredangelo.com/Collect...yID=32e5a88c-cbf1-498f-afcf-dbfca138c5d3&pg=0

I do like this dress but I'm worried about the layers- I'm afraid I won't like it once the wedding comes since it's kinda different. Regardless, I do like it and love the train.

So, what do you think? Feel free to PM me if we don't want to have lots of Wedding Discussions on the UC- I totally understand! :thumbsup2

~*I've Found My

Wedding Reception Location!*~

It's in Gainesville, FL where I went to college and about 3 hours up the road from me. Thankfully, DFiance loves it. No one has seen it besides him and now, my UC sisters!

We'll be having the reception (hopefully!) in McKenzie Hall..

Okay.. so what does everyone think?? Honestly, now girls! :thumbsup2

I liked the Alfred Angelo. :thumbsup2 They were both pretty, but something just drew me more to the Angelo. :confused3

I like the wedding reception place. Very nice!

Thanks Honu!!

I hope your day was nice! Mine was pretty good- just relaxed and watched Toy Story. :)

You're welcome!

Which dress are you leaning more towards?

My day was OK. Ran some errands, nothing major.

I really don't know.

I still am not sure if I like the bunchiness of the first dress and not sure if I like the layers of the second dress, although I think it's very Princess-y.

Hmm..I might have to keep looking..

Glad your day was okay! Ugh, I wish the weekend wasn't almost over.. oh well.

I know you have awhile, but when do you leave for the surgery?

Have you ever watched "Say yes to the dress". I think you'd probably find it interesting. It's on TLC. They always say on there, when you find your dress, you'll know it!!!!! I'd keep looking. :thumbsup2

Glad your day was okay! Ugh, I wish the weekend wasn't almost over.. oh well.

I'm thinking the same thing.

I know you have awhile, but when do you leave for the surgery?

We leave on March 19th, hit San Antonio for 2 days, then drive over to Houston. NASA on March 23rd, pre-ops on March 24th, surgery on March 25th. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I'm ready to go. I really am. I'm wishing that my doc wasn't going on vacation for Spring Break. That extra week of waiting is going to drive me nuts!!!!!!!! I'm already crawling out of my skin.

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a great day. I can't believe that the weekend is already over. It went by waaaaaay too quickly.

Yay! The wedding dress report! :woohoo: :woohoo: I'm glad that you found some dresses that you liked.

I really liked both dresses, but the second one (Alfred's) really has the "wow" factor, in my opinion. The train and the bodice are gorgeous. I think that the extra layer makes it interesting and different (in a good way). However, the corset on the other dress is definitely a plus. Gotta support the girls!! (Oh my gosh, I can't believe that I just said that on a public forum. :rotfl2:)

I think that you should go with whatever you feel most comfortable with. If you're worried about having second thoughts about the dress from Alfred's, then maybe you shouldn't choose that one. Honestly, even though it may be a pain, I think that you should keep looking around for more dresses.

By the way, wedding dress discussions are 110 percent Unicorn thread-worthy!! :thumbsup2

I'm so glad that you found a site for the reception!! The wedding reception site is beautiful! The grounds of the inn are so charming. And it's a Victorian-style house, just like you wanted!! :woohoo: I really wanted to take the virtual tour, but for some reason it wasn't working. :confused3 I'm glad that your DFi approves of the site, too.

Thanks Tig!

I wish he was taking it the next week! I mean, if he's going to Disney or something, it would be much better to go later! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Although, now that I think about it, it's not necessarily a bad thing, he might come back rested and relaxed and ready to do a great job!!!!! :thumbsup2 Of course though by then, I'm going to be a nervous freaking wreck!!!!! :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
