So the first meal we had while in Disney this trip was at the Starring Rolls Cafe. For those of you who don't know this restaraunt is a tiny little cafe located right by the Brown Derby. It is well known by Disney Foodies for having some of the best cupcakes on property even though it also has sandwiches and other pastries 2. Now that I am done explaining the restaraunt let me move on to the food. We actually went there twice on this trip and the first time my mom and I went we tried the marble cup cake. The actual place is very tiny and most people eat outside so you probably want to eat here on a nice day. So anyway back to the food. These cupcakes can easily be shared by two or more people. I thought this cupcake was very good! I absolutely loved this cupcakes frosting! It was very creamy and part of it was vanilla and then part of it had chocolate fudge on it. The chocolate fudge was my favorite part of it. The actual cake was ok, nothing two special to say about it. All in all I would give this cupcake a solid B. Now since I am a loyal DISer now I feel a strong need to post the food porn for as many meals/treats as possible so without further ado...

The next time we came to this restraunt (a couple of days later) my mom and I decided to try two seperate treats. I decided to try a chocolate eclair and my mom decided to try a chocolate peanut butter cupcake. Since it had rained earlier we decided to make sure we had a spot in the sun. My mom went to get the treats while I looked for a spot and after a while she came out with our meals. My chocolate Eclair was great! I loved the custard part in the middle. The chocolate part was only ok. My mom loved her cupcake a lot. I think both of our dishes would get an B+. Here are the pictures...

Hope you enjoyed hearing about starring rolls cafe. Next up: Pizza Planet

Now I really want a cupcake. They look delicious! :thumbsup2

Ok so in the last review I discussed Starring Rolls Cafe and there cupcakes. Now I am going to move on to our 2nd meal of the trip which was at Pizza Planet. Unlike Starring rolls, my mom and I have been to this restraunt a lot since we found out there was a real pizza planet at Disney. I absolutely LOVE toy Story so this is a must visit! The trip before this we didn't actually get to eat here because it has weird hours :(. So this time we made sure we got to eat here. This restraunt is very much like its movie counterpart in that it has a arcade and pizza at it. those little green aliens are all over the place too! So we decided to eat first then play the arcade games. It was a good thing we did that 2 because the line was packed. It was the first of many long lines for the trip. I swear we were in that line for at least a half hour. It was very unpleasant because we were all smushed together. Never-the-less we were able to pass the time well with talking about the fact we were in disney and anticipating our trip and enjoying our luck with traveling. So finally we got our food and decided to eat outside. Unfortunately the weather outside wasn't as warm and nice as it was earlier (still no rain which was good though). The Pizza was pretty good, once again it wasn't anything different from any other pizza you could find on property. but none the less it was very tasty. The one thing I will say about the menu is that it is very limited. If you don't like or want pizza or salad then you are out of luck. But if you like those things you will love it. Unfortunately I don't have any food porn pictures from this meal so i'm sorry about that. Even though the meal is satisfying the real draw this place has is its arcade. I personally love this arcade and even if i'm not hungary I will still stop by the arcade. I also believe the arcade has later hours than the restaraunt as well. The aracade has many classic arcade games such as Skee ball, hoops, DDR, toy machines and even more. It is also a good place to go if it rains :). We usually spend 15-30 minutes in that arcade.

Hope you enjoyed my review of Pizza Planet. Next Up: Karmel Kluche

can't wait for more the cupcakes looked good

Thanks :) They were very good! Like I said in my review my favorite part of the cupcake was the fudge frosting in the middle, that stuff was like heaven. However the best cake like dish I had on my trip actually comes from outside of Disney (Gasp!). hope you still enjoy the reviews though.

Haha! I wish we had thought of Harry Potter names for our cats! We got one of them before Harry Potter was a thing and then my mom wanted to name our younger cat after a lord of the rings character. The next pet name we are thinking of though is Dobby! I also love your DD's Confirmation name. You'll enjoy my review that I post after my next one. I went to WWOHP and i'm going to be reviewing the three broomsticks and honeydukes. The caldroun cake i had was one of my favorite treats I had on vacation.

I'm in and waiting patiently......popcorn::

Hope you enjoy my first 2 reviews that I just posted. i'm very excited for this project! I've always wanted to do a food blog journal! I love reading about the disney restraunts. I guess you could say i'm a little bit of a foodie (try a moderate foodie, haha!).

You make Pizza Planet sound like a lot of fun! Definitely will take my boys there next trip all because of YOU! :goodvibes

awwww, thanks :) that makes me feel so great that I am helping you guys out :). Hope you enjoy it! I absoultely love eating there. Just make sure you check the hours just to make sure you don't go after the restraunt closes. It is right by muppet vision 3D.

I apologize in advance if I spelled this name wrong. I remembered the name of the store was unique. I think if I simply refer to it as the new german carmel shop then you'll probably figure out where i'm talking about (if you've never been there then i'm very sorry for not knowing how to spell the name). Anyway, So when my mom and I went to epcot for illuminations we decided that we really wanted to try the new german chocolate shop. These treats were awesome! Between my mom and I we tried several of there treats (over several days) and I will review each of theme for you with as many pictures as I can provide of the food. Let the fun begin...

1st treat- Yellow Carmel Cupcake: This cupcake was good but I didn't think it was the best of the treats you could get at the store (This may have something to do with the fact that I don't care for yellow cupcakes). The cupcake was very good though. I learned later on in the trip that I should let the cupcake thaw out a little bit. This made the whole cupcake easier to eat. Once again these cupcakes could easily be shared between 2 people. I LOVED the frosting on these things (Can you tell what my favorite part of a cupcake is?). I can't really explain the taste of the main part of the frosting except i can tell you it tasted really good but really rich (which is why the cupcake could be shared easily by 2 people). the carmel on the cupcake was very good. It was very sticky and chewy (a problem that thawing out the cupcake helped a lot). I would give the cupcake a B+. Here's a picture

2nd treat: Chocolate Carmel Cupcake: I personally enjoyed this cupcake ALOT better than the yellow cupcake. I don't know what it was about the chocolate, vanilla, carmel combination but I personally enjoyed it alot. It probably helped a lot that I learned my lesson about letting the cupcake thaw. To each it's own I guess. Everything I said about the frosting and eating the cupcake still applies to the other cupcake. My mom still enjoyed the yellow cupcake better. I would give the cupcake an A. I would definitely choose this cupcake if I felt like getting a baked good from this place. Here's a Picture:

Treat #3: Chocolate Carmel covered Strawberry: Over the past couple of years I have really grown fond of chocolate covered strawberries. So of course when I saw that the german chocolate carmel shop had chocolate carmel covered strawberries I was very excited to try some. They have 2 different kinds of chocolate that can cover your strawberries (milk and dark chocolate). Both kinds have carmel drizzlings on them. The strawberries they had were huge!. They only gave each person one strawberry per order but it was definitely enough. These were also very good. I got a milk chocolate covered one and i loved the chocolate carmel combination. I would defintely get this if you are in the mode for a candy-type treat. Here's a Picture:

Hope you enjoy my personal highlights from this store. My mom also tried a peice of carmel with nuts in it but I don't really remember what she thought about it though. Next Up: Three Broomsticks at WWOHP.

I am REALLLLY looking forward to going to the caramel shop in November on my trip. It's definitely on my LONG list of places:)

Great pics and great food report so far. Keep at it:)
