The Ultimate Children's Surprise...

We have a large group of kids going with us (7). We have been planning a Peter Pan party with props and events for months. The kids have no idea they are going to Disneyworld and we will be using the Peter Pan party to spring the surprise on them...and were just a couple weeks away.

One of the big items at the party besides a bunch of activities planned is were having a treasure hunt where the final treasure (X marks the spot), is a message from Mickey Mouse telling them that they are going to Disneyworld. I was able to record a custom voice recording in Mickey Mouses voice naming the kids and date, etc.. from Fiverr.com

We cannot simply wait...kids are going to freak out when they find out! They have no idea all this stuff is coming. We havent even told them about the party yet...they are just going to wake up one morning, get their peter pan costume on and be totally blown away..we will be leaving only a couple days after they find out.

What a fab idea.

We are surprising our two children. We was going to leave it until the day before we fly but have now decided against it and are going to tell them a month or so before so. I cannot believe I have kept it a secret for so long already

We are still unsure on how to break the news to them but the recording of mickeys voice is great, never heard of this before.

My parents tried to surprise us with a Disney trip when I was in 5th or 6th grade. Unfortunately, I was always an eavesdropper and found out before they had the chance. I still pretended to be surprised, lol.

Cute idea. Just be careful. There are lots of videos on YouTube of children who were upset by the surprise. Either the trip interfered with their own plans or they were mad that they were lied to earlier. With 7 children, at least one is bound to take the news a least a little less spectacularly than you hope.
