Hi everyone, after reading all the wonderful TRs on this site I got a little TR envy so I decided to take a stab at this trip report thing. Now I have no illusions about my writting skills so bear with me if you could:)

First and foremost in case you're wondering where the uhh...intersting title came from, hubby and I were on the DDP for the first time last year on our honeymoon. We ate so much food, it was obscene. That lovely phrase was uttered by my husband as we waddled back to EPCOT from the ESPN Club. I almost keeled over laughing :lmao: But then again maybe you had to be there.

OK, let’s meet the cast of characters and give you a bit of our Disney background.

Me- I am 24 years old and I fly a desk at a financial services provider in Massachusetts. I worked retail for 6 years before getting this job and needless to say I danced a jig when I got hired where I am now. :dance3: Monday thru Friday, no nights, no holidays? Yeah sign me up. I tend to overthink things and stress out about them, then I think about it again and stress out some more. It’s my thing. I also am a big chicken when it comes to riding Dinosaur, Summit Plummet or any waterslide like it. I am forgetful and oblivious but I’m cute so it all evens out.

Anyhoo, my first Disney experience was 6 years ago. I knew of Disney but never had any real burning desire to go and the trip I took with my family when I was 18 did nothing to help the situation [Thanksgiving + OBNOXIOUS stepfamily= Not good times]. So I went, came home and moved on with my life until I met…

My wonderful husband- A.K.A. Nighthawk, [this was his answer when I asked him by what name he would like to go by in the TR. He clearly enjoyed the movie “Stepbrothers” A LOT] ummm….yeah ok. He’s 27 and he is also in the financial industry. He is handsome, funny, and smart [not that I’m biased or anything], loves his heavy metal, Disney, superheroes, video games, and is VERY opinionated but he’s adorable so I let it slide. His Disney experience started back in 1999 when he participated in the Disney College program after high school graduation. He absolutely loved it and he wishes everyday that we could work for Disney. We met and started dating in college in March of 2003. In September of 2004 we took our first trip where we got engaged. This is when the love affair between Disney and I started. As you can see by my signature we have returned every year since and hope to keep this tradition going. Also joining us on this trip is…

My fabulous Mother in Law- A.K.A. E.L.
E.L. is a nurse and has been doing it for 20 years. She is by far the best mother in law a girl could ask for. I love her to death. This will be her first real Disney vacation and I am so excited to initiate her into this cult.

Possibly making a cameo on this trip is my brother in law Matt. He was originally supposed to be coming with us but due to his work schedule he is unable to join us for the entire vacation but he may come down for one of the two weekends we are there.

I'm sure you're all just DYING to see what we look like. So here we are for your viewing pleasure:rotfl:

This is the day we got engaged.

And here we are at our medieval themed wedding:

I didn't post a pic of E.L. because I haven't actually asked her if she wanted her pic to be bandied around the net, but don't worry she will be making an apperances during the actual trip report as I'm sure she won't say no. I know you will be waiting with bated breath.

We are spending ten glorious nights at Port Orleans French Quarter September 4th-14th. [Yay free dining!]

Up next…How this latest trip came about...that is of course if anyone is interested. Oh, who am I kidding I'm going to post it anyway;)

Now that you know who we are, here is how we came about this particular Disney trip. N.H. [I officially refuse to write Nighthawk, it’s just too ridiculous, even for me] and I had just returned from a not so magical honeymoon at POFQ.

We were married April 15th and decided to wait until the last week of April to go on our honeymoon because we figured the crowds would not be as bad. I think we can all see where this is going. Crowds galore. Everywhere. And it was hotter than hades.

As if that wasn’t awesome enough guess who caught a cold the second day they were there? Yeah, this girl. But, here’s the kicker I also forgot to take my special daily pill which caused a special friend to pay me a little visit, fabulous. I was so sick at one point that I almost passed out on a crowded bus. Good times all around.

We did have a great time [it is still Disney sick or not] and fell in love with POFQ in the process.

Two months later we decide that we’re going to go to Disney September of 2008. We invited E.L. to go with us and the obsessive compulsive worrying began.

I surfed the web. Visited tons of Disney sites, bought my unofficial guide and through it found this wonderful site. We discussed what dates to go, will they offer free dinning, should we wait to book or do it now, who should we fly with, how long to stay. Basically the stuff normal people think about but I dissect into microscopic detail and proceed to stress about for 6 months straight.

We eventually booked our trip at the AAA travel show. [A story in and of itself which I will spare you the gory details of because I'll just get angry:headache: ]

We originally decided on one week Saturday-Saturday and that eventually evolved into 10 days, Thursday-Sunday, because if you’re going to spend 7 days why not 10? Makes sense right? Yeah.

Up Next…10 days of eating, and walking and then eating some more.

Here are our tentative plans for our trip:

Thursday 9/4- We arrive at MCO around 9:00p where we are renting a car. We are making a pit stop at Wal-Mart for bottled water and miscellaneous toiletry items.

Friday 9/5- AK in the AM and having lunch at either the Flametree BBQ or at the Anandupur Local Food Cafes it all depends on what we feel like. Then it’s back to the hotel for a nap/rest. I made it clear to NH that I am willing to go do whatever night time activity he wants [whether it be PI or EMH] as long as I get my nap in the afternoon. Anyway, we have an ADR at Raglan Road for 6:30p and after we are considering doing EMH at EPCOT. As I’m sure everyone knows due to MNSSHP and Night of Joy, Epcot is going to be the only park open at that point. We will probably go check it out, gauge the crowd and decide whether we want to stay or not.

Saturday 9/6- DHS for extra magic hours then leave before the 9am opening to make the 10am opening at either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Then a 6:05p ADR at Le Cellier and we will be sticking around for Illuminations. Then it’s party time at PI.

Sunday 9/7- We will be doing MK in the AM as we have a 12:30p ADR at LTT, then back to the hotel for a break. In the late afternoon we will be going to DS and hopefully catching Fantasmic.

Monday 9/8- We will be visiting Islands of Adventures [ I know blasphemous] until about 1 or 2 then heading back to the hotel. We have a 6:00p ADR at Teppan Edo then we’re going to try and make it to MK for Spectro Magic and Wishes. If we make it then great if not then we can always catch it Saturday. After Wishes we will be going to either PI or Jellyrolls.

Tuesday 9/9- We are off to Sea World until whenever. Then a 7:20p ADR at Boma

Wednesday 9/10- We are headed to Universal Studios. Then we are doing the Hoop Dee Doo Review at 7:15p.

Thursday 9/11- EMH at MK then off to DS or AK , where we are in the afternoon will probably determine where we have lunch. At 6:10p we have an ADR at Le Cellier.

Friday 9/12- Undecided. 3:30p ADR at Tutto Italia and then MNSSHP.

Saturday 9/13 and Sunday 9/14- We don’t have any particular plans these last two days. If we don’t catch Spectromagic and Wishes during the week we will see them Saturday night. I’d also like to get a lunch in at Bongo’s on either day. Sunday is our departure day but our flight is not until 9:20p, so we will pretty much have the whole day to do what we’d like.

So there you have it. If you have any comments, advice or suggestions on our tentative schedule feel free to let know!

HEY! Maybe we'll run into you at MK on Sunday with the pirate:
