Good Morning,

I am researching and found out that The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 10 Miler is happening on the same day we are going to visit Hollywood Studios. Anyone know if this event will increase crowd level?

Thanks

The race and the Villains bash both start at 10pm.DHS will probably close at 7-8pm to get everyone out in time for the party, the race starts in the DHS south parking lot,the runners exit via Studio Dr and then go west on Osceola pkwy to the entrance of AK,then turn around and go into WWOS sports complex to then get back to DHS.The race has 10,000 runners along with their families so there will be some more crowds but this time of year is not exactly empty with the F&W festival and the Halloween events so it'll be busy but not crazy.Just avoid having to drive or take a bus along these streets at night on Saturday.

I believe the event is at night after the park closes.

Thanks for the info. Our first time to the World was August and hated it because of the crowd and long line up. Our 2nd time was Jan 2012 and love it as we were practically in and out of the rides quickly. When my kids decide to redo a ride, all we have to do is get out and go back in the line. Most of the time, the cast member even let us stay inside as the line up was closed to nothing.

I was working at Studios on one of the ToT marathon days. They did a hard close at 6:00. That means at that time they close EVERYTHING - stores, restaurants, ice cream stands, etc. If you could reschedule I would switch parks and try going another day. Since it closes so early (no idea what this year's time will be) and abruptly you wouldn't be able to see Fantasmic or do anything night-time related. However, if you do have a park hopper, it would be a good time to take the ferry over to Epcot to have dinner and see Illuminations.

We will be doing Studios on Sunday so I think I can assume that we will be ok since the marathon will be over by then?

We will be at HS that day, as well. That's the only day it's a recommended park during our stay, according to another crowd calendar site I follow (or maybe that was the only time it's recommended AND I can fit it in). The idea is that it will be less crowded b/c it closes early. It does close at 6 that evening. We saw Fantasmic! last year, so I'm ok with missing it. We have FP+ for the things we really want to do, and we generally like to be back "home" by dinner, anyhow, on days that we hit the parks at rope drop, so the race isn't a deal breaker for us.

Park closes at 7:30pm on the 5th but since we are staying on-site, we'll be able to stay until 9pm for EMH.

Thanks a lot
