Hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!
So after our lunch of assorted ‘meats’ we contemplated another dip in the wave pool. However, the waves were still wiping people out left and right so we decided to go check out some other attractions first and come back later if we had any time left.
This sign REALLY underestimates the power of that wave pool!
“Strong waves MAY occur”??? Yeah right! It should say “Adults may lose limbs and small children will be devoured”.
I think we’ll stick with the safe and calm floating highway for now…
We drifted by Ketchakiddie Creek again…
And we got off at the next ‘exit’. We walked through the Forgotten Grotto which DD thought was so cool!
DD discovered that it’s the tunnel that the lazy river flows through.
On the other side of the grotto is a pretty waterfall…
Overlooking the lazy river and all the Spanish moss hanging overhead…
Another great view…
DD and I had no interest in these slides because they were just straight, steep drops. We tried to talk DH into going for it, but he said he didn’t want us to split up. Hmmm, I wonder if that was his way of chickening out!
Right around the bend we found the Storm Slides which looked a little tamer, so we headed for the entrance.
