We have never eaten here, opting instead for 1900PF and Akershus on previous visits. Is it really worth it? DD will be 8 when we go back at December and I'm thinking if I want to do it for the princess "magic" this might be my last chance. Yea or nay?

We love eating in the castle. It's the castle! I suggest everyone do it once just for kicks. The food is good too!

I agree, if you can get it, do it at least once! It's overpriced IMO but we still continue to go back for the ambience (sp)! We love going in there. My girls love it too (8 and 5).We like the food too!! I like it better than the other two you mentioned......

We love this place and think it's well worth it. Nothing like eating in the Castle in the MK.:cool1::thumbsup2

I agree with PP. It's overpriced, but everyone needs to do it at least once.

I've never been; however, it sounds like a "got to do it at least once" experience. Just cannot bring myself to pay the price or use two TS just to eat in the castle. Give me HDDR anyday!

Ditto. It's one of those "experience" things. I'm the lone dissenter though, I thought the food was only ok especially for the price but I went for the experience with my niece. One is enough though.

:thumbsup2You just have to do it. We did it our last trip and we have two boys and they loved it. Especially all the attention. We will be back at CRT for breakfast in a few short weeks. Was hoping to get a ADR for dinner, but no luck. Loved the breakast food. Enjoy.

We use the TIW card instead of dining plan so the 2 TS credits is not an issue. So..... looks like I"ll be trying to book it in December!!!

Thanx!

I would try it. We went there for lunch in May. My kids were so excited. Everyone enjoyed the food. ( I was expecting it to be awful after hearing some reviews.) It was expensive so I don't think we'll do it often, but it was definitely worth it.

say it's something everyone needs to do once. We hit our third time this past June. Earlier in the trip my wife was talking about skipping CRT on the next trip. On the drive out of Disney she broached going again.

BTW - we usually eat lunch there. The food is good. Yeah I wouldn't pay that much for tha same food elsewhere, but my daughter really enjoys herself.

:thumbsup2
Definitely go for it! I surprised my daughter for lunch on our arrival day. It was magical for her. We also dined there for dinner the same trip. Again, she had a blast and it's a must do for us next trip.

I also LOVED the food I had for both meals.

Do it just once for the experience. Yes it is over priced. Yes the food is mediocre. It is about eating in the palace ok. That is the experience. For ren faire junkies who love the experience of Disney and the princesses it was worth the money to us. The dessert menu is in dire need of help. The creme brulee was not even the real thing but I still enjoyed it because I ate it in the castle.

Dh tries to do this for me for my birthday. After this year though I told him I love the experience but not at the cost. After our wonderful anniversary dinner at The Brown Derby, I want to try a new Signature each birthday. He was cool with that.

NAY

this restaurant is terrible! the service was the worst ever! they double booked and werent able to seat us, they wanted to know if we would sit with another couple. the food was not good either the prime rib was so salty and not very hot either. we couldnt eat it. dessert was not good, it was a terrible experience! Go ANYWHERE ELSE!

1) The food is definitely not any where close to being worth the price.
2) The ability to eat in the castle is the only determining factor.
3) So, for many it is worth the cost, for others it is not.
4) Like many things at Disney, it is all personal perception.
