Here I am again. I’ve mentally been writing this pre-trippe in my head for awhile now. But, those who know me or who read my last trip report know that I am no writer. I love grammar. I had a crush on my English teacher. But alas, I have no creative writing juices at all flowing through my body. I must add that said body looks much different than it did pre-children. Why does that have to happen? Can’t we breastfeed, toilet train, drive a mini van, discipline, pick up Legos a million and one times, get Bubbalicious gum out of hair, etc, etc, while still having a hot bod? Why not? This I don’t agree with. I may have to have a chat with somebody upstairs. Ok, back on track…..

My name is Kelli. I’m a young momma. I had my oldest daughter right before I turned 20 and had our last child, my son, right before I turned 24. I know that’s not the norm but it works for us. I am an office manager, with a great job and manage to find plenty of Dis time. I was introduced to Walt Disney World by a great friend of mine. This little lady’s name is Samantha. She’s a Dis'er. We actually met online, on a birth board. We both were due with our boys in July 2003. I have visited her home twice and we have grown into great friends. I simply think this woman is wonderful. I was always envious of her love for Disney. Her trips seemed out of my realm. I couldn’t really even comprehend a trip. It just seemed too far fetched. I had never been to WDW. Ever. Even as a child, I didn't think it was something that we could even do. I’m not really sure what the exact trigger was. But, I started looking online at prices. They shocked me….in a nice way. So, I calculated, crunched some numbers, conned my husband into giving me a little bit of our income tax money (hey…he spent some too fixing up his old car!) and I had a trip booked! My husband could not go however. He had no vacation time at work and frankly, still has no idea what I see in Disney World. He's one of "those". I convinced my sister, her son and my mom to come along. They didn’t argue with me. Not even a little. ;) My mom then invited her boyfriend and his son. Sidenote: my mother is 50. I don’t think boyfriend is the right word for her companion. What else could we call him? Special friend? Mate? Partner? Any ideas? Anyway, we went to the World back in November 2006. And had a blast! Despite me being on my death bed. I was sick, sick, sick. I have no desire to know whose germs I picked up in that airplane but they weren’t pretty. My temp got up to 103-104 and I was feeling horrible. Still….it didn’t taint my views. I fell in love. I have the Disney bug. The magic snuck inside my sick body. :wizard: I HAD TO GO BACK! And now we are!

:rotfl: There she is!!! I'll be back later with some more!

What a great start!!

I hear you about the body issue. I was a size 8 in high school and am now "Pooh sized" as some would say. It sucks! And it seems the older I get the harder it is to take off. Men have things way too easy! :rotfl:

I'm looking forward to reading more! :thumbsup2

Hi there!!! :goodvibes Pooh sized is a nice way of saying it! :rotfl:

What is up with those husbands of ours?!? I think my husband has learned to pretend that he is as excited as I am about my trip planning. As long as he doesn't have to go, he'll play along.

Your kids are cuties! I just love those bug glasses!

So, before I get into any more details, I better introduce the cast of characters. I'm also going to dig up some photos on Photobucket so you can see who I am talking about. And to prove to you that I am indeed a 27-year old woman and not some 65-year old perverted man or something pretending to be a girl. ;)

Morghan, age 8 She's my oldest and the one who causes me the most grief. We are TOO much alike. We butt heads and she can back talk like no other. Fortunately, those times come with some really great times as well. She helps me out around the house and at the end of the day, I get some nice cuddles. She loves to dance, sing and generally show off. Here she is:

Mykenah, age 6, almost 7. Kenah is my typical middle child. She is the sweetest girl you will ever come across in your life. She loves to listen and would be horrified if you ever thought she was misbehaving. She'll play alone for hours if you let her. However, her sister is a big thorn in her side so the two have been known to "go at it" a few times. Barbie and Disney Princess are her two favorite things in the world. This is Mykenah:

Dimitri, age 3, almost 4. If you look up little brother in the dictionary, you will see this guy. His main goal in life is to terrorize his older sisters I think. Someone is either running from Dimitri or he's running towards them. He's loud, likes to run, climb and jump and just generally beat on things. All boy, no doubt in my mind. He does however have a soft spot in his heart for him momma, which I love of course. Here is D:

I don't have many photos of myself. You fellow moms know how that is. So, I really had to dig. I do have a recent photo of my sister and me. I am on the left with the curly hair. All natural baby, which is a general pain in my ***-

Marshall, my husband of 8 years now, has again opted out of this trip. I love the man to death but just can't seem to drill Disney into his head. But in his defense, the company he works for blows. They get very little vacation time and he's had to use most of it already for Morghan's Mayo Clinic visits. So, he's going to stay home in a quiet house for about a week alone. Lucky guy. ;) Here's our last family photo, Marshall included:

This was one we took as a surprise for Marshall for Christmas this year-

So folks, that is our cast and crew. Yes, I am taking three children alone to the World! :scared: Nutso, huh? Seriously, it's okay. You can say it. I've heard it before. But I will be meeting up with some pretty special people while we are there. Can you guess who?

Thank you Lauren! :)

So, way back in January while I was finishing up our November trip report, a little birdie kept whispering in my ear. I’ll call this birdie, um…… Tamantha. Yes, Tamantha. She mentioned Disney World. She also said something about November 2007. I heard lots of different things from this birdie. She pestered me in a nice way, so much in fact that I ended up booking another trip! At this point, I had no idea if Marshall, the un-Disney husband, could or would go. If so, I had to cover my bases for a family of 5. Why is that such a BIG number to Disney? I feel like a leper having 3 children. Oh me, oh my! How do I handle them ALL? Seriously, the options for a family of 5 sort of stink. Wouldn’t you agree? Well, a 2-bedroom Beach Club villa would be grand but that just isn’t in my budget in this lifetime. Nope, sorry, out of luck. So, we ran a few different scenarios. How about 2 rooms at a value? 2 bathrooms would be a nice perk! I like the look of All Stars Movies!

How about one of those new fancy family suites at All Stars Music Resort?

They look really cool!!

Or….Port Orleans Riverside does have Alligator Bayou rooms that have a trundle bed.

For days on end, I played all of these out in my mind. I looked at allears for pictures and facts. I think I caught a case of “indecisiveness” from my Libra husband. (For the record, I am a Virgo. Some of you know what this means. To give a hint, let’s just say that I know what underwear I will be wearing each day this week.) ;) Anyway, I finally settled on Port Orleans Riverside. There were two main factors in this decision. I like that it comes with a fridge that costs you nothing extra. I also like the fact that you can apply any discounts that may come out towards the room. It was also the cheapest option so away my fingers went, dialing that Dis number. We were booked! All five of us, in a room at POR!!! A moderate! Oh man, I've only ever stayed at Pop before! Be still my heart. I still had no idea if Marshall would even be there but I wanted to be on the safe side. Now, you all know that plans change. All the time. Especially on the Dis, right? So of course, there were to be adjustments. Major ones. Stay tuned….

Your kids are adorable!

I almost booked POR for my mom, sister and me for this trip in August. However, that is the one place DH and I want to stay when we fianlly get to go alone. So, I want to stay there with him before anyone else. I guess that means I will just have to figure out a way to take another trip!! ;)

I loved POR. The buildings are so beautiful there. We rented bikes one day and rode them around the port orleans hotels. That was lots of fun...I recommend it.

Great update ....we will be at POR in Sept it is our favorite moderate!!! & as you can see below we are also a family of 5 & yes the options are limited at best:headache: :headache:

Love this so far, looking forward to more soon.
Thank you! :goodvibes

Aw, thanks! POR does seem pretty awesome.

Enjoy POR!! Yes, a family of 5 provides some issues when choosing a hotel, doesn't it?

I am on board here. I think you are a great writer and you have me laughing.
Can't wait for more.

Who is this "Tamantha" chick! I thought *I* was the one that got you to go in November! She had better not horn in on our good time lady!

MORE MORE!
