I suppose I should introduce myself.
ME ~ My name is Mary, but many of my friends call me Mimi. I'm currently a student, due to graduate in May - after five long years of the college using our class as guinea pigs, switching requirements and such. Before I came to these boards, I considered myself a Disney vet
Not anymore, that's for sure!! I've been going every year since I was 3. My first time, we drove down... during a snow storm. The snow storm was so bad that it took us three days to get from Central NY to the southern PA border. Ever since then, I've been spoiled rotten and we've flown. I was raised on Disney movies, and have always loved all things Disney - especially our yearly visit to Mickey.
For this trip, I traveled with my grandmother and uncle. Both love Disney.
GRANNIE ~ My grandmother first went to Disney when I was 2. She went to visit my aunt, who was studying down in FL. The story goes that they spent the entire time pointing out things that I would like.
UNCLE ~ My uncle, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with Disney. He thought Disney was for kids. He said that if he ever did go down to FL, he'd spend time at the beaches, etc. Well, his first visit was about nine years ago, and he's accompanied us each time since then.
So, why is it a trip of firsts? Firstly, it was my first trip that I was totally paying for!
It was up to me to get the bang for my buck. And where did I go to for all the answers? 
When I saw Samantha Brown's Christmas Special last year, I knew I had to visit during Christmas time. In September, I saw an ad in the Going Places magazine that AAA puts out. They had an ad saying "Stay for as low as $49/night"! And, I was hooked. We booked our trip. My grandmother casually mentioned it to my uncle, he said "WHEN ARE YOU GOING?" Hung up, and made his reservations as well.
A few months later, the Disney VISA offer came out... and thus, it became another first for us.... our first DDP experience.
That's all fine and dandy, a first trip paid for by me, first trip around Christmas, etc.... But there is something even greater that I want to happen on this vacation. I want to meet Prince Phillip. He's my absolute favorite Disney Prince. He's absolutely dreamy.
Will I meet my prince? You will just have to read to find out...
