The TRIP of all Trips... Ana's MAW PTR... *TR STARTED* Link- Post #1901 Pg. 127

Wished I could have seen One Man's Dream, but it was closed for our trip. :sad1:

Now, back to your regularly scheduled posting.

Even tougher for me !!I think I've done all I want to !!Some I loved and some never again !!!Drew Carey and Narnia ..Never again !! Ya'll know I haven't done ToT or RnR and have NO desire too!!!!Oh thought of one Star Tours I just MAY try that!!!!
Melody can do ToT or RnRC but she has vowed never to do Star Tours again. She felt so sick when she got off it. To tell you the truth, I felt a little queasy last time too. :confused3

I love HS!! A trick I have learned riding the GMR with little kids is to distract them at the alien part - give them a light up thingy or drop something at your feet and have them pick it up - lol - worked like a charm!! haha!! you could always see how your day is going before trying fantasmic - if she is rested and still wide awake she might be okay - but if she is tired out, might be too intense!!! Have so much fun though!!!!
Now I have to find out where the alien part is! :rotfl: Great way to distract them. ::yes::

She has really surprised us with what she is willing to ride... I think she might be OK with Fantasmic. If she is tired it probably wouldn't be the best thing for her to try to sit through.

i've never been on the studio backlot tour due to time restraints/rehab but it sounds like fun to me! i also haven't seen the playhouse disney show or animation show/drawing. star tours isn't something that i care for, but the may be because i'm not much of a star wars fan :confused3

i also want to go eat at sci-fi dine-in, which i totally consider an attraction :lmao:
Backlot tour has been closed when we were there too. I doubt Juliana would want to sit through that. But I did see Lights, Motors, Action in March with my friend and I think that Juliana would of liked seeing it.

I want to eat at sci-fi too! I just feel that there is never enough time. :confused3

Sunday night I was up till midnight reading;)
Awwwww... thanks! :goodvibes

Really? Was it down for a rehab?

You have my permission to post anything you want here. There isn't much trip news right now so we gotta do something here before this PTR dies. :sad2:

You're a rock star around here- I doubt your thread will die!!!

Now, we could pick up where we left off on the subject of, oh never mind... the gutter is a bad place to head for.

I went on the Great Movie Ride the first time when I was 5, and I don't remember being scared at all. It was actually one of the rides I was most excited about on my first trip back to the parks (18 years later).

Fantasmic is one I've never done. The scheduling of it has just never worked out for our trips.

The best way to attract viewers is to look like Giada!!!!!! :rolleyes1
Okay, I guess it's my turn to go do a Google search........
I've also missed out on the revolutionary war and WWI.
You sure you weren't around for WWI, you old geezer???
Here are a few smilies from Juliana:

:hourglasspixiedust::love1: :rainbow::rainbow::rainbow: puckerup::butterfly :flower1::flower1:
Juliana always sends the nicest gifts!!! :cloud9:
We just did the Ohana breakfast in May and it was slow. It took a long time to get seated and a long time for food and characters. Maybe we were there on an off day but just thought I would throw that in there.
Sorry you had problems when you were there. We have done Ohana multiple times without any problems. Even though we aren't the biggest Lilo and Stich fans, we would go back to this one again just for the atmosphere and view (it IS the Poly after all), the food, and definitely the juice!!!

Don't have any input for DHS. Our trip last summer we did One Man's Dream, Animation Studios, and Beauty and the Beast, so now we have done pretty much everything we would want to do there. As for the Alien part of the GMR, you won't have any problem figuring out where it is. This is pretty lame for the older crowd, but I'm sure that whole section of the ride could be rather intense for most 4-year olds, not just the area where the alien comes down out of the ceiling.

I love the holiday show at Radio City. My mom used to take me when I was little. I know you'll have a great time! :goodvibes

I think I've done pretty much everything in DHS, with one exception, and I really wish I could do it.

Rock n Roller Coaster. I LOVE Aersomith. I mean LOVE them. DH took me to see them when we were in college, and Steven Tyler was in a walking cast on one leg and still rocked like nobody's business. :lmao:

Anyway, I can't do roller coasters at all, and I know there's a special music track and it kills me that I can't hear it.

There. My dirty rock and roll secret. ;)

1)What ride/attraction in DHS have you always wanted to ride/see but never had the chance?

This is tough since this is the park I used to work at and spent most of my time at but the only thing I haven't seen at DHS is the American Idol Experience.

I don't think that Juliana wouldn't be scared on the Great Movie Ride. We took our oldest son on it when he was 2 and he was fine. We didn't get a chance to go on it our last trip but are definitely making it a priority to go on this trip!

I'm the rock star???? :lmao: I'm trying to keep up with your thread... and Brooke's.. and Cynthia's... and.....

LOL The gutter is always welcome here... if need be. :rotfl:

GMR is one that gets lost I think. I've been watching my mousesavers wait time app on my phone and I saw a few days last week the GMR had 30 minute waits.

I've never planned around Fantasmic but in MArch we were in the studios on a Fantasmic night. It was our first day in the parks and the kids were getting shot by the evening. I didn't even suggest that we go see it. :rotfl2:

Okay, I guess it's my turn to go do a Google search........
So are you done looking yet?:confused3 There are some funny videos on youtube too. :rolleyes1

I'm sure!

Luck of the draw! She likes to add her smilies from time to time.

Is the juice at 'Ohana the same $4 a glass juice I get at Kona?

There really isn't too much at DHS when you look at it on paper. Most of the time is waiting in line for shows. :confused3

Alien from the ceiling. CHECK! :thumbsup2

The Black Pearl is narrowing down its location.... East Coast ::yes:: pirate: :rotfl:

Melody and I went to see the show when we first starting dating. So it was probably around 9 years ago.

I think I've done pretty much everything in DHS, with one exception, and I really wish I could do it.

Have you ever just walked through and see the preshow? It might be cool to do that. Then you can walk through and see the coaster go from 0-60 in 2 sec! LOL

I always wait for the front seat. It is less bumpy than the back (Liesa.. were you sitting in the back?) and the view is great!

I have no desire to see AI. I hate the show and I actually cannot stand the concept- which is weird considering that my life is music. (I'm a mobile DJ if you didn't know) The artists that come out of there are mediocre at best. I guess Carrie Underwood has had the most success... but who listens to country anyways? :lmao::lmao::lmao:
(just joking!)

Thanks for the tips on the GMR. I guess this will be on our must do's! :goodvibes

We finally accomplished ours this trip -- the Animation Studio and we loved it. I think Ana will be absolutely FINE doing the Great Movie Ride.

We haven't done the Animation Studio.. another one where I think it is tough to have a young kid at. Some day I wouldn't mind trying it out! :goodvibes

Thank you for your confidence Kathy! :lmao:

I think Ana might like the Studio. They go step by step with you and she would probably do better than her daddy. :lmao:

I didn't comment on Fantasmic since you said you couldn't do it in December. But it is our second favorite after Wishes (Illimuniations is last on our list). I don't think it is too scary for little ones.

I rode this on our recent trip...I have a better name (actually 2 or 3) for this attraction...but will refrain. :rolleyes1

I would like to do the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I did it years ago when I was 12, but haven't done it since. We always say we should, then look at the line and pass. I have also only done TSM once and would like to do it again, I just don't think it is worth the long wait. Only time we went on it was during EMH when the line was shorter (60 minutes opposed to 90!)

But YOU have never done the Osborne Dancing Lights, so I would DEFINITELY go and see that. It is so amazing.

The Black Pearl is narrowing down its location.... East Coast ::yes:: pirate: :rotfl:

:lmao:

How do you know we didn't fly there? ;)

Nope, I'm a New Englander, I'll give you that much.

Melody and I went to see the show when we first starting dating. So it was probably around 9 years ago.

Aw, how sweet that now you'll take your little one!

Have you ever just walked through and see the preshow? It might be cool to do that. Then you can walk through and see the coaster go from 0-60 in 2 sec! LOL

No, actually I haven't! You think they'd let me do that and then take the chicken exit? LOL

:welcome:
Thanks for joining!!

Mind?????? Mind?!?!?!?! It is accepted and encouraged that you hi-jack when ever possible!! Lololol

I'd love to see your pictures.:)

Thanks for the welcome! I will be back with photos.

I also bought tickets to see the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall. I was able to find a code online to get the tickets at 1/2 price! So we are going to go in November to see the show. :woohoo:

So lets have another go at it...

1)What ride/attraction in DHS have you always wanted to ride/see but never had the chance?

I guess it would have to be the Great Movie Ride or Fansasmic! I don't know if the movie ride or Fantasmic would be too scary for Juliana. I think she is getting to the age now where she could handle it without a problem. Fantasmic is out for December I don't think it will fir into our days but I think I'd like to give the movie ride a try.

Very cool about Radio City! I want to take DD but just haven't yet. It is about 3 1/2 hours from my house to NYC so I am hoping to do it as a day trip instead of staying over.

I think I have done everything in DHS except Drew Carey - is that even still open? Juilana should be fine with Fantasmic if you get a chance - my DD loved it at a little over 4. I agree with everyone on the GMR - I just covered DD's eyes at the alien part when it drops from the ceiling and yes you will know when it is coming - the rest should be fine.

(Maroo will love this one..... LOLOL)

I painted one wall purple and the other 3 PINK! We bought white furniture and it does look very nice. Juliana's crib convered into a day bed but she was getting too big for it. She looked so cramped in it. It was time for her to move, and she was and still is excited about being in a big bed. :goodvibes:

My DD has two hot pink and two purple walls in her room! Too funny!

We haven't done the Animation Studio.. another one where I think it is tough to have a young kid at. Some day I wouldn't mind trying it out! :goodvibes

Thank you for your confidence Kathy! :lmao:

If Juliana likes to draw she may enjoy the Animation Studio. We took DD for the first time when she had just turned 5 and she really liked it. She might need some help or she might just want to try it.

I have never seen Beauty and the Beast or Voyage of the Little Mermaid. My boys, including my DH, never want to see it. We are going next June and while they are doing Star Wars Weekends stuff, I will hopefully be able to see them.

I think Ana might like the Studio. They go step by step with you and she would probably do better than her daddy. :lmao:
You might be right.. I am not an artist. :sad1:

I didn't comment on Fantasmic since you said you couldn't do it in December. But it is our second favorite after Wishes (Illimuniations is last on our list). I don't think it is too scary for little ones.
I think I can watch Wishes every night for a year and never get tired of it. :goodvibes

From what I saw of Illuminations (about 75% of it) it didn't have any WOW factor for me. :confused3

BTW we put up the wall stickers that you gave Juliana. I'll have to get a pic of it to show you. (you do realize how long this might take right? :rotfl2:)

I rode this on our recent trip...I have a better name (actually 2 or 3) for this attraction...but will refrain. :rolleyes1
Ummm hummmm... now what could that be? Maybe this could be my next poll question! :rotfl2:

I would like to do the Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I did it years ago when I was 12, but haven't done it since. We always say we should, then look at the line and pass. I have also only done TSM once and would like to do it again, I just don't think it is worth the long wait. Only time we went on it was during EMH when the line was shorter (60 minutes opposed to 90!)
We love TSM and Juliana had her own gun last time and did pretty good.

We have to see VotLM in December... we missed not seeing it in March. Juliana sings all the Ariel songs, I don't know for how much longer. :guilty:

But YOU have never done the Osborne Dancing Lights, so I would DEFINITELY go and see that. It is so amazing.
We are seeing it on Saturday the 4th. Is it still on if it is raining? :confused3
