The TRIP of all Trips... Ana's MAW PTR... *TR STARTED* Link- Post #1901 Pg. 127

Love the back to school pics!

She is such a cutie. Have I ever told you how much my son likes blonds? ;)

Adorable pics!

We just did IOA and US on our trip though it may be December before I get to it in the TR!
Well now that's not gonna help! :lmao::lmao:
;)

We also did IOA only, back in 2004 when the E's were 4&5 and they LOVED it. Both parks actually have quite a lot for little ones. The crowds for WWOHP are/were a bit mind boggling but by the time you go it won't be the peak summer season or brand new so even if you do IOA and the WWOHP section, I can't imagine it will be as bad. I am more than happy to answer any questions about it!

We saw more characters in US (Scooby and the gang, Woody Woodpecker, the Simspons, more but I'm spacing on who) and all the Nick Jr stuff is there like Jimmy Nuetron etc. Plus Shrek in 3d...which is always fun. Some great shows on that side, the Beetlejuice graveyard review was a highlight of the total trip for me, and sweet rides like ET.

On the IOA side you have the Seuss area, a really fun classic comics area (Popeye, etc) and lots of super hero's(spidey, the justice league, etc...saw all of them "live", plus of course Harry Potter. Which was AMAZING. Ana may be a bit young for it though all of you would enjoy the theming and the detail even if you haven't seen a movie or read a book.

The FJ is an AMAZING AMAZING ride.

On both sides, if you are into the thrill rides for yourself with child swap, well, lets just say the parks rock. IOA in particular in our opinion.
Thanks for the tips & hints.

I think we are only gonna have 1 morning/early afternoon there so I'm not sure how much we are going to be able to fit in. I would like to try to get on one coaster though. I love thrill rides!

What is FJ? :confused3

Juliana like Dora and knows Cat in the Hat but doesn't know superheros or anything like that. How far are each side from each other. I saw a map which makes them look close, but can you walk from one to the other or do you need to drive?

I'm thinking we will have to skip any long shows.

lol I don't know how I'd grade him since I look for objectives and elements I asked for. And effort. So an A for effort. Probably a B or B+ I guess.
:lmao:

Man you are tough! pirate:

Just checking in !1Gotta run work is calling !!!
Hi Rosie! Hope you had a good weekend! :goodvibes

Still waiting for that backpack picture. :rolleyes1

Hope you have a good weekend. Are we working this weekend?
Worked the weekend and picked up new furniture for Juliana- which took all Saturday morning to the afternoon. Then I had to work at night.

Now I need to find that pic for you.... Now where did I put it? :confused3

Tim (& Mel), it's been such a crazy week for me, and I just saw your news. I'm so very sorry for you both. I'm praying for you all.

Awww the pictures of Julianna are so cute.
Thank you! :goodvibes

Juliana is growing up!
Claire started dance back up last night. (Friday nights at 5..not my favorite time) She is in full tap this year. In previous years she did a combo of eveything, so this is differnt this year. And boy do they go FAST! I was worried she wouldn't be able to keep up and get discouraged, but she did fine and said she liked it.
Friday nights at 5? UGH that is a bad time.

Juliana does tap and ballet- 30 minutes each. So it isn't too long for her.
Juliana is such a little fashion model too. I love her clothes.
Awwww thanks!
The other day, when went to the fair, one girl that was with us was name Julia. I kept calling her Juliana! IIPs.I am on Dis way too much! :rolleyes1
LOL You are too funny!

Lol I think most of them are like that.. When my nephew started all with got was one word answers like fine good etc when we asked how he got on lol!
It would be nice to know what she does while she is gone from us for 4 hours. She usually says 'played outside'. ;)

Hi Tim,

I'm so soryy to hear about your loss. Keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers.
I have a lot to catch up on here. Your pages goes so fast.
You've been at 'club med' for a few days.. it is understandable. Just jump back in at anytime! :goodvibes

I'm so sorry to hear about the baby, Tim! Hugs to all of you.
It will happen when it is meant to happen.
Juliana makes a super cute dancer. Adorable pictures from her first week of school.
Thank you.

Your trip is coming up soon! :dance3:

Love the back to school pics!

Thanks!

Good thing your son lives with you on the Black Pearl and you aren't in CT. :lmao:

Hey Tim! Just checking in! :)
HEY! :wave2:

I LOVE the back to school pic, love the little attitude going there ;)
Oh yea... she does have an attitude from time to time. I think that was just her 'posing' pose! :upsidedow

Just what I thought! You can definitely see the 'tude in those pics. She is going to be a handful for sure.... :thumbsup2
You are right... I am in for it! :faint:

Praying for your family in your loss
Thank you.

The two parks are VERY close together - maybe a 5 minute walk between the two.

I just read back some and saw your sad news, I'm so sorry for your loss. I've had 2 miscarriages so I know how hard it can be.

I love the "first day" pics. It makes me laugh how she loves to pose for the pics. We tried to get some family photos (with grands and cousins) on this trip to CA and Tessa was pulling some pretty silly poses, but at least she was posing! Her cousins had enough after only a few shots.

I'm so bummed that they won't let you extend. Have you looked into fees and such if you "accidentally" miss your flight?

Juliana can pose and pose..... and pose. Imagine if we ever got Tessa and Juliana together? It would be a pose fest! I'm sure there would be some hilarious pictures! :lmao:

I know we can get flights for about $85 from Orlando to home but I'm not gonna go there. I am going to follow the rules. :thumbsup2

Morning Tim !!I will be interested to see how your Universal day goes as the Gang want to try both parks 1 day !!AND they insist I go too:scared1:

Well, since I'm packed and you strongly suggested that I spend my time DISsing until we go, I'm still waiting for that backpack pic. :lmao::lmao:

Well now that's not gonna help! :lmao::lmao:
;)

ok...maybe Nov?
:rotfl2:

FJ is the Forbidden Journey which is the big Harry Potter "dark" ride that is inside Hogwarts. It is like a combination of Soarin', Spiderman and Haunted Mansion. It's amazing! The queue alone is worthy of standing in line!

There are really good coasters at both parks, I'd probably pick the Dragon Challenge as my favorite but the Hulk is right up there! On the Dragon Challenge though the front row is by far the best and that can take longer so Hulk might be a faster option.

IOA and US are super close, 5-10 minute walk depending on how fast you move.

Most of the shows are about 20 minutes.

Searching my phone for it now!

Ohhhhh ok. I guess I need to study up on my US park rides and layout! :lmao:

So is it a roller coaster then? I'm thinking Juliana at 42'' would be too small to ride this.. plus it might be to scary for her. :confused3

Good to know! I usually always wait for the front seat on coasters. It is worth a few extra minutes to have the best seat! ::yes::

OK cool!

Thank you for all the great info!

I love the Hulk roller coaster - one of my favorites in any park.

From what I've heard about Forbidden Journey, it's not really a roller coaster. I'm not sure how to describe it. One of the threads on the US board said that the mechanism used for the ride is similar to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4aGKCAahv4 (without all the updside down motion). So kind of a more intense version of Soarin'?
