Again at the crack of dawn we're up. This is like boot camp, up at the crack of dawn, off to chow and then the day's activities. Well the military precision is good for us.
Another 4 min bus wait and we're whisked to MGM. Grabbing a map and new batteries for the camera and its off to the Great Movie Ride. I remember those movies! The CM who played the gangster was great, I'd join her gang anytime (DW isn't reading this). After the ride its time to find out where the 50's Prime Time is and then off to Rocking Roller Coaster---a 70 min wait means Fast Pass and a frozen lemonade. Gazing up at the Tower of Terror DD decides that "to save Dad and Mom we won't go on it." Funny how things can be twisted around (thank God). TT is off the list but next time its a go. We head back to the Rockin' Roller Coaster and zip right through to the first car. Hey, how bad can this beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. Talk about a catapult shot! I felt like I was Tom Cruise in Top Gun.
Its now (urp) lunch time so off we meander to the Prime Time Cafe. Mom seats us after a short wait and DD is called princess the whole time---and never forgot it. DW and I order the bbq shrimp on Caeser and DD orders the Fried Chicken and yes, we eat all the veggies. The whole atmosphere of the place is great and is now on our list for the 2005 trip. The food is wonderful and its the best shrimp I've ever had. Disney knows how to do food.
After lunch we hit the Muppets (loved it) and then the RRC again. Hey, I know how this riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide goooooooooes now. Probably should have waited a bit after lunch but everything stayed put like it should. Time for a more sedate ride and off to the Backlot Tour. After the tour its time for a ATM stop and as I'm doing that we meet Rosie. What a kick--and Rosie--I'm sorry, I can't forget you.
Florida keeps its promise and the wind and clouds pick up and we don our Panchos and see Tarzan Rocks! DW and DD think that Tarzan is eye candy. I could be too if I were 20 years younger, worked out all day, had the body of a bronze macho sun god and swung from vines. Great show and it was cute seeing DD and DW drooling. After more meandering and snack its time to sit down for Fantasmic. Of course its raining but the show goes on. Its lots different than California's version and a great way to end the night.
All in all MGM was our favorite park so far.
Tomorrow its horse back riding!
