I accidentally posted this in the restaurants board, but it is probably more appropriate here since not all of the places on the list are restaurants?!?

I thought this article was a fun and read for those of us over 21, and the author does give a nod to this site for great Disney info!

The Top 10 Places to Drink Beer at Walt Disney World!

Thanks for that, enjoyed it. And i'll testify that ESPN club is a great place to eat as well as drink!

Thanks for posting........however the number one place HANDS DOWN is:

Germany getting Spaten on tap and sitting and doing some people watching in the courtyard. I don't know how that can be topped:confused3

Really does it get any better than this (taken two days ago btw)

Yes, I'll definitely take the Spaten Optimator over Becks any day...

ESPN Club was a good place to hang out for some beers during baseball playoffs/football, if you can get in :)

Haven't tried BRG yet, hope to stay at BWV in December and then definitely will.

I'm all for the Optimator, I fill my mug with it every chance I can get! And hey, Germany was high up on the list, just not #1! :)

They have switched over to Octoberfest so no Optimator this time but I love them both. How can being served authentic German beer by a beautiful German women NOT BE NUMBER 1:confused3 and on top of it all be at WDW and an easy stroll over to the Rose and Crown?

Everytime I walk by ESPN it is backed, never been there which is odd because my alarm is truning the TV auto time on and having Mike n Mike in the morning literaly wake me up:banana:

My own 2 cents- great list.

Gotta disagree about the Sci-Fi spot. One of my favorite meal spots at WDW but i never get the beer mojo there. More of a kid/milkshake spot. Just my humble point of view.

My personal favorite- drinking a cold draft beer from Hurricane Hannah's at the Beach Club on a steamy, hot day and sitting by the pool!

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to try out Hurricane Hannah's on my next trip (which unfortunately isn't until 10/2011) :sad1:

I don't know if they still perform or not, but grabbing a cold one from the English Pub and sitting down to listen to the Beatles Tribute band. Short set, but then again, you don't have to worry about getting up to get another beer while they're playing.

Rose & Crown have the coldest Guinness on tap, delicious. They use to have a stand outside with half a yard, but that is gone....truly that stand was the best place to get beer!

OK - Hoop De Doo Review with unlimited Bud Light? Sorry - that's just a travesty!

What about AK - nothing beats getting a bar seat at the Yak and Yeti at 11:30 a.m. before the lunch crowds hit and enjoying a giant beer - they have some good choices for the Asian theme (and a great Dim sum basket). The bar stools are so comfortable, you never want to leave! But then it's fun to head over to the Dawa Bar. Love the atmosphere there, watching the performers and enjoying a cold one. Too many choices, that list could have 100 places!

I did enjoy that stand, and I would always get a half yard of half and half, then walk around with everyone staring at my double-shaded beer. Then I'd get a refill!

Thanks for sharing...interesting list! Some surprises too.
Our fav. hands down is Rose and Crown. :)

I will have to try this when I go down next year.

And unlimited any beer is not that bad....:rotfl:

Interesting article. I have to say that every year we go we travel to AK. Great place to have a drink. Love the atmosphere.

Yep, DH and I did this last week! I got a Magical Star drink (not a beer drinker) and he got the beer. It was relaxing, listening to the British Invasion outside and watching the people walk on by...Ahhhh....

I think this is what I need to show my DH so he won't be such a Disney downer! I'm sure he'll be happy to see that our kids are happy, but he knows there's much much there for HIM. At least he'll have beer. :cool2:
