Media event is for media, VIPS ( executives not VIP that u can buy) .It is a 3 day event June 17-20th.Invitees got a cool box with invite, gringotts gold bar etc..Officially announced and confirmed by Universal earlier today..Rumor mill is saying the opening would be likely right after..who knows ..But it is not coincidence that the Harry Potter Today show prize is for 3 DAYS..

Quite possibly.Construction walls are rumored to be coming down in the next week or so(I heard May 17th and no later than the 20th, but this hasnt been confirmed)

Hmm... We are starting our vacation at Universal June 7-9 and then going over to Disney 10-19. I haven't purchased the Universal tickets yet and I am now thinking I should add an extra day, just in case we want to go back closer to the DA opening.

I wouldn't go at the end of your trip. One working theory is that the grand opening will follow the press event in DA June 17th-19th.

If you don't get to see DA June 7-9 then I would add on a weekday in the middle of your disney days. Like Thursday June 13. Weekdays are generally less crowded and it's close to the press event so I think it will be in soft opening by then for sure. Follow these boards, I'm sure people will post about softs once they start.

I would totally play it by ear. It's only a $15 difference in 3 day park to park ticket and the 4 day park to park ticket so even if you get enough universal in your three planned days you don't lose much money if you decide to stay at disney and not go back.

My computer crashes on the video so I never get to see the clue. Since the rules said the answer does nto increase chances, I have been typing in random HP words each day as an answer. It says "You are Entered" after they get my email addy.

Now to win without ever seeing Al Roker.
