The Timeshare sponser above, anyone used it for a deal?

Used them to buy and sell. First rate in every respect. They also have a stellar BBB report and clean license record.

We are another:thumbsup2 for TTS,just used them in January to buy 175 points at SSR at $68/point.Closing costs for us added about another $800 on to the price but still feel like we got a bargain. Scot Decker was our associate & made the transaction totally painless, bearing in mind that we are in the UK,he always answered our queries by e-mail or phone promptly. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
SD:thumbsup2

Bought my first DVC from The Timeshare Store and sold 50 HH points via them. No problems either time.

We bought our SSR contract though TSS - they were terriffic !!! Now we are looking for a 50 point add-on....we will going through them for that as well.

The Timeshare Store is "Quality." We bought our contract from them several years ago and we couldn't have been more pleased with their work.

And one other thing. Purchasing the contract was one of the best decisions we've ever made, financially and otherwise. We've enjoyed our annual stay at our home resort (buy where you prefer to stay!) for the marathon weekend.

We used them to buy our BWV points. Everything was great. We even stopped by their office on our first trip out there and picked up a gift basket they have(or at least used to have) for their clients It was a nice touch.

TSS no longer giving baskets...best friends and i picked up the last two baskets last week...jamie did not indicate that the thank you gift program was likely to return...we shudda bought lottery tix that day!

I am looking at it, and BWV or SSR have point prices starting from $70 /pt, ( where we would buy )
that is alot cheaper than $112 /pt ! ( from disney direct)
anyone use this to buy DVC? is it reptuable?
any more information?

thank you

Tina

The people from TSS are very professional and proactive. I have made 2 purchases from them and things went smoothly. Talk to Scot or Jason and you will have no regrets. Their support people are tops. :thumbsup2
Good Luck Tina.

I have not purchased from The Timeshare Store, but in all of my time here, I have not read a single complaint about them and in fact, I have read several threads where the owners of the store went out of their way to help people.

We used TSS, Ralph M. actually and we were very happy with the service provided. Smooth saling the whole way!

TSS was wonderful for our recent BWV resale purchase. Jamie was our rep and she moved my resale right along quickly as I had an upcoming vacation that I wanted to use points for. She was excellent and communicated with me often as to the progress of my contract.

Buy where you want to stay -- best advice.

As for the "starting at $70" - caution -- our first bid was on a 350 points at $75 and Disney RFO it. Lost that one and was really sad. Jamie had warned us that the contracts below the "norm" tend to get RFO'd. Look on the link on here that lists all the resales, price it sold for and which one's got RFO'd by Disney. Our recent contract, 250 points at $80 passed.

Good luck!

I am using TSS for an add on now. Had pretty high expecations from what I heard here. Jamie has surpassed my expectations!!!!

Bought in at SSR very recently. The experience was really very easy and professional. :yay:
All of the folks at Timeshare were very helpful and attentive. Answered questions and helped me make a good choice.
The price was right for me and the title company they used, especially Brenda Smith at Magic Vacation Title, was outstanding.
If I remember correctly the entire process took me only 6 weeks to complete.

We will make our first trip using our points the first of May and stay at SSR for a week and then I'm going to treat the wife to special night at the Dolphin with a balcony and resort view.

Couldn't be happier with the assist I got from both Timeshare and Magic Title. Topnotch folks.

I bought 3 from Jamie at TSS, always called right back if I had a question. If she was out, Jason would handle her calls for her. Never were we left in the dark. On one of the contracts, we were in Daytona on our way to Port Canaveral for a cruise, when I realized that I had not signed my paperwork and mailed it back to them... I called Jamie from my cell, she faxed the paperwork to my hotel, it was waiting on me to sign, faxed right back... boarded the ship next morning, took my cruise. It was just a few days later that the contract passed ROFR! They handled everything while I was sailing. It was the fastest one that I had close.

I would not hesitate to use them again!!!

Our experience was much the same as kimberh above. Jamie was incredibly responsive and when she was on vacation, Jason filled in just as well. Would definitely buy from them again!

We just closed 2 100 point purchases at AKV with Jamie Carr of TSS. I can't say enough positive things about the whole process. Absolutely first rate. We've made a fair number of resale and direct timeshare purchases. For honesty, transparency and attention to detail, TSS is right up with DVC. I would not hesitate to suggest them to anyone I know.

I have used them twice now for purchases; originally back in 2001 and again this year. Buying and closing was very efficient and painless.

Used TSS for transfer of title of 250 BWV and 100 HH when I got divorced. Absolutely straightforward and easy process, despite being in UK. Fax and Fedex covered everything. The only problem in UK was finding a law firm who had a notary public - not all are, in UK

oh yes, I got the HH and ex got the BWV. Wish I'd held out for some of the BWV points, now. But as they were both on finance, and HH was smaller contract, I could afford to pay that off. I have never stayed there, just used them to swap out for OKW (love that place) and for Interval International.

Now selling HH, (not via TSS though but Jaki and **** at GVR, and they've also been great) and waiting to see if I pass ROFR, and then OKW here we come! :woohoo:

Been reading threads on the incentives and referrals.... but I think buying through resale will suit me and fiance best. Will be looking at TSS - and others - to find the right contract.

Do you really save that much money thru resale.....im thinking of adding on and wondering if this is a good option for me

If you are patient and look for a good contract, you can get a deal. I just passed ROFR for 100 points at BCV at $80 per point:banana:  , plus I pay closing costs that average out to about another $4/point. So if you compare $84 per point resale vs. $112 direct from Disney, I think that's a great deal. The downsides: I can't close immediately (seller wanted a July closing, probably has a reservation to use before then). But I already had enough points to cover our upcoming May trip, so I didn't care about the delayed closing. I'll just bank the 2009 points and use them for our trip next year. And since BCV is a "sold out" resort, even if I had tried to buy direct from Disney, I might have had to wait because it seems that my UY (April) is a popular one. Some have posted that they waited months to buy an add-on direct at BCV.

Another downside: Once the seller accepts your offer, you have to suffer through the amount of time it takes for Disney to decide whether to waive ROFR! For us, it was submitted on 2/24 and we found out on 3/6 that we passed and would get the points at the price offered. :cool1:

I was insistent on BCV because that is where we want to stay - and it's about the only resort I can get my DH to agree to go to (he'd really prefer to stay at home, LOL!).

Do as much reading on the Disboards as you can so you know what you are getting into, but yes, you can get a deal. This is my second time working with The Timeshare Store and both have been great experiences.

We just used them to buy a resale and have nothing but positive things to say about them!
