Me (40) and DD (7) - our 4th trip to DLRP since February 07.
Day One
We were up at just after 4am to get to the airport. Got through check-in and security and the flight left a few minutes late, but we arrived just about on time at Paris CDG. Picked up our suitcase, and headed for the exit. The VEA bus was waiting for us - good omen I thought
. Unfortunately, as we were leaving the airport after picking up at terminal 2, we could see traffic backed up heading onto the main road (is it the A104?) so our driver took us on the minor roads to DLRP. This ended up taking around one and a half hours. But at least we were on our way!
When we arrived at the Park, I put our suitcase into left luggage (free with my Dream pass) and headed straight to the nearest shop to buy those lovely yellow ponchos, as it was chucking it down with rain
. We saw the Mary Poppins characters milling around the bandstand area, then we walked up Main St and into Adventureland. Who should we see there but DD's favourite princess - Jasmine
! I whipped DD's poncho off, while she got her autograph book out. Jasmine and Aladdin were lovely with DD, I honestly think after seeing them (and within our first half hour in the Park) she'd have been perfectly happy just to come home, she was that chuffed!

First tick on the "to do" list!
From Adventureland, we went to IASW, which, as usual, was a walk-on. We checked out the Storyboats, but it was closed in the rain, and there was a line for Casey Jnr (we don't do queues
) so we gave that a miss as well.
By now it was about noon, so we headed over to the Studios. Walked straight into an English showing of Stitch Live - excellent, I really enjoyed this show. Another tick on the list! Had lunch at the En Coulisse, again, no queues. Then we saw HSM, and found the Ice Queens throne (thank you DIS board members for pointing out the way
) - yet another tick.
Our 4th tick came soon afterwards, when we saw the toon train, and got Abby Mallards autograph.

It was around 3.15 I think when we left the Studios for the day and headed back into the Park. We had a quick look at Storybook and Casey Jnr - still closed and with a queue, so we got a drink from the Bella Notte and took a bit of a breather on the benches across from Bella Notte, and on the parade route. For DD, we had the perfect spot for the Parade (right next to the nearest pink bin to the top corner opposite IASW
) as when the Princesses got down to dance, Jasmine and Aladdin were dancing right beside us - close enough to touch
. We watched the whole Parade, and then decided we would call it a day (we were both getting to be a bit asleep on our feet by this point). However, as we walked down the arcade near the Plaza Gardens, there was loads of space left right at the end of the Parade route - so we waited there and watched the whole Parade go by again!
I picked up our case, then we headed for the bus top for the Explorers. 15 minutes later, we were checked into our room there. We got freshened up then went for a little explore at the Explorers (I've done a review in the Hotels thread). Had a lovely tasty pizza at Marcos there, then a walk by the lake, as the sun had finally come out around 5pm, and it was a beautiful evening. By 8.45, exhausted but really chuffed at all the new things we'd seen, we were both in bed and asleep.
