Cast -
Me (40) and DD (7) - our 4th trip to DLRP since February 07.
Day 2
We got ourselves organised and out of the room for a hurried breakfast at the hotel, and arrived at the Park around 8.40 this morning. We went straight to Dumbo, then did the teacups and the carousel. Peter Pan and Buzz Lightyear had queues already, by 9am. So we skipped those and went shopping down Main Street. DD bought some new pins and I tried (without success) to find the music to "Tous en train".
We headed out of the Park and into the Studios for just after 10am. We saw Mickey just hanging around waiting for someone to talk to him, so we obliged
. There was already a 20-minute queue for Cars, so we went to the Flying Carpets instead. After that, it was time for the first tick of the day - the Good Morning Studios parade. It was okay, and like the toon train, it stops for photo/autographs at the end, but if you miss it, its no big deal IMO. Cinemagique was next (I love this show
), and when we exited there, we checked out the queues for Stitch (20 minutes) and Cars (40 minutes) before leaving the Studios for a while, and walking back to the Park.
The Mary Poppins characters were once again all around the bandstand on Main St, so DD hopped on over and got a penguin's autograph, then she wanted to go to the Robinsons tree house, so thats where we went next. We walked from there to Peter Pan and picked up fastpass, then finally found both the Storyboats and Casey Jnr open, and with no queues whatsoever - yippee!!! 2 ticks later and deciding these were lovely little rides, we went to the Castle courtyard and watched the Sleeping Beauty show. This is an enchanting little routine, princess-lovers of all ages will love this - very romantic and fluffy-kitten
. Another tick on the list!
IASW called us next (we had a trip-record to beat
) then it was time for Peter Pan. We had lunch at the Bella Notte, then picked up more fastpass for Peter Pan, which were timed for just after the Parade. Back to the Storyboats and Casey Jnr we went, then through the Castle to watch the Character Express coming up Main St. This was at 3pm, and Casey didn't stop at all (I guess because it was close to the time they start roping off the parade route).
We had time to do IASW one more time, then take up our position 10 minutes before the Parade started. Today, DD was wearing her Jasmine outfit, and when Aladdin spotted her, he blew kisses and waved at her (he was quite dishy as well lol
). Parade past, we did Peter Pan, then left the Park and back over to the Studios.
We found Cars with a 5-minute line, so had a go on that (I do love this ride, its real fun, just too short IMO). Then a tick on the list, as we caught HSM2 - again, a great performance, great fun, great audience involvement. Stitch live was still showing, so that was next, and by the time all that was done, it was just after 6pm, and we were getting weary.
Annettes was calling us - as the park didn't close until 7pm, we got seated and served very quickly. The food was great as usual, and both our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, as we both ordered dessert, and then couldn't finish half of them -

I took a doughnut and brownie from my plate and wrapped them up for later, as although I couldn't face them right then, they were far too yummy to leave!
We were finished our meal and at the Explorers bus stop by around 7.25pm, but the buses weren't a problem getting on. By 7.45pm we were in the swimming pool, splashing about and burning off some of that pudding
. It was great fun. Then off to the room and bed, ready for our last day, and to tick off those final "to do's".
