Ok, I have been looking at menus for several of the CS, and we already plan on eating at Comic Strip Cafe for lunch. We're doing the WWoHP last in the day so I thought about the Three Broomsticks for dinner. I just want to know if the restaurant is any good? I've heard things about it..... But I am a Potter nut and want to try it. Go there, have dinner, and get a butterbeer at the Hogs Head as dessert (Either the butterbeer or some Honeydukes candy, or maybe both :thumbsup2).

Can you give me tips on what's good there and what to avoid? Thanks so much!

I have read good and bad things about the place too (In preperation for my 1st trip) But since you are a Potter nut, I suggest you go ahead and do it. If it's bad, you know next time to stick to a different place. Or know to just visit Hogs Head for the butterbeer and skip the dining.

By the by, you might want to share the menu with the others in your group to see if they'll be willing to eat there. You never know.

We've eaten there twice and liked it. We enjoyed the chicken and ribs and I liked the smoked chicken salad. Of course the butterbeer is great too.

We've only had lunch (sounds like breakfast would be better) We tried it twice while we were there in Sept. It was ok, nothing to write home about, but ok for theme park food.

If you are looking for really great food try Mythos or one of the restaurants at City Walk.;)

Of course we went at a non peak time, but a few evenings we just got drinks and sat down to rest, take photos, and enjoy looking at everything....then went for an amazing meal out at Mama Dellas (a 5 minute boat ride from City Walk) :goodvibes

I say if you're a Potter fan, it's definitely worth eating at at least once. We ate lunch there back in Dec 2010 & really enjoyed it. My DH & DS both had fish & chips. They said they were very good. I had roasted chicken with veggies. Also very good. Oh, and a frozen butterbeer of course! :thumbsup2

I always enjoy The Three Broomsticks. Although I had the Fish and Chips last time and didn't like it as much as the Roast Chicken, but it was still good. Much better than your average theme park quick service food, in any case! The atmosphere alone is worth eating there.

My husband and I went there on our honeymoon in August and we really enjoyed it. I had the roast chicken, which was tasty and I really liked the roast corn on the cob. Kellan also liked the chicken, but he didn't like the ribs (he got the chicken and ribs platter). I also got the chocolate berry trifle, which tasted exactly like our wedding cake.

Personally, I love the fish & chips and make sure to get some whenever I'm at the WWoHP - but also, the atmosphere in the space is fantastic, just sitting there and feeling magical and wizardly in one of Harry Potter's spaces. Definitely worth it!

Thanks for the comments, I think we will have dinner there. It sounds good.

Can't wait, only a few weeks left!

Let us know what you think. My DW really wants to eat there when we go back in Dec. We're both Potter nuts! :woohoo:

It's fast food--very good fast food, but no getting around that. The chicken/ribs are good--avoid the shepherd's pie and pasties. Peanut butter/strawberry ice cream good, as well, but nowhere near as good as the cauldron cakes in Honeydukes.

I'm looking forward to Cauldron Cakes. I've been dying to try them ever since first reading about them. Now in just a few weeks, I finally will! I wonder if they'll last a three hour bus ride (Probably not,)

I was planning on having the fish and chips. Can't wait to try them!

Why avoid cornish pasties ?? I really wanted to try them !!!

We loved the dinner when we ate there in November. The food was best we have had in the park. Everyone raves about Mythos and maybe we ordered the wrong things but we were not impressed will not return. I am lookign forward to eating at 3 Broomsticks when we return in December. I would like to try the breakfast.

We really enjoyed the Feast for Four in December and it was plenty for five of us. I loved eating there and can't wait to go again. As a Potter fan it is a must do.

Be sure to look up when eating! I caught something out the corner of my eye and we spent several minutes watching.

Hmmmm....I looked up when I was there but must not have seen what you saw. Dang it! Now you're making me want to eat there again when we go in Oct! :rotfl:
