We arrived in Springfield... (see what I did there)

As the queue was so long, what better way to waste time by taking photographs...

For anyone that's been on this ride, I know you'll agree with me when I say it's AMAZING!! I mean seriously amazing. I kept telling myself the first time I went on it that I would hate it as they had removed the Back to the Future ride for it
but I just can't. I do have to say however, I discovered on this holiday that I can't really do simulator rides anymore as they make me feel a bit queasy so on a couple of occasions I had to close my eyes (not sure if this made it worse...).
When we had our feet firmly back on the ground we went to grab a few snaps with the most famous car (and train EVER) and try and work out a way of driving away in it...

We then took a wander over the scariest ride for me in this entire park...but it's not for the reason you think...It was E.T Adventure. Yes, that's right, the E.T ride. This film has terrified me since I was a little girl when my mother decided to buy a life-size teddy of it...
but Karl insisted that I try it out as it 'would be fine'.
The whole way through the queue line I was clinging on to Karl like my life depended on it and next it was our turn to board our 'bike'. We got put right on the front row and straight away I clocked the basket in front of me, I knew based on the film this would only mean 1 thing...and yes, that think happened...the little blighter popped up in front of us. Weeeeell, that was it, I was gone, I shut my eyes the rest of the way around and as soon as it finished, I was out their like a shot! I couldn't even take any photographs of it...
After my ordeal, we decided as we'd done everything and we were both starting to flag we would call it a day. We were also a little hungry so decided to get a treat on the way out. As we were walking to out, we saw some sunbathing squirrels

and then found a wonderful ice cream shop unfortunatly, I can't for the life of me remember what it was called...! We had some great food in there though. I had a Ben and Jerry's ice-cream milkshake and Karl had a hot fudge sunday...

After stuffing ourselves with lovely treats we went to get a few souvenirs on the way out.

I LOVE my Potter t-shirt. I couldn't wait to show it off when we got home!
We chilled in the hotel for a bit when we got back. I think I fell asleep for a while and left Karl watching The Big Bang Theory. I believe I had actually fallen asleep for about 2 hours (whoops) when Karl woke me up so we could go for tea.
We went out about 8pm and walked up to the Olive Garden. We had heard good thinks about this and we weren't disappointed. I had cheese ravioli in a meat sauce with salad AND garlic bread included.. (how much food?!) and Karl had steak. It wasn't pricey at all and the service we received in there was brilliant. I would certainly recommend this.
So there another day closes and the next begins. No plans for tomorrow until the evening so should be a nice chilled day...shouldn't it...?
