I thought I would put this on a thread of its own as there has been a lot of questions and queries about this and hopefully it will be easy for people to find for future reference.
I booked this trip before I left.It cost £40 per adult and the 2 kids got free. You are told to be at the front of New York Hotel around 7.30pm.At aroung 7.40pm a big double decker coach pulled up and we got on.There were only 20 people on the coach, the other 16 headed up to the front and the 4 of us heaed to the back. The coach had a tinted glass top so you could also see out the top.
The bus left dead on 8pm and 40 mins later we saw the first site of the top of the Eiffel Tower. When you get into Paris the commentary begins through quite uncomfortable earphones.
We crossed the Pont Neuf, saw Notre Dame,The Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Place du Trocadero, Arc dr Triomphe and travelled up The Champs-Elysees.
Eveyone else on the front of the coach sat very nicely in their seats. With us having the whole of the back of the bus to ourselves, we moved from side to side to get the best views of all the sites
Please excuse the photographs I tried my best taking them out of a moving coach window.
The coach arrived at the Eiffel Tower at 9.45pm and we were told to be back at 10.10 to finish off the tour. This gave us enough time to walk down under the Tower have a walk about.....trying our best to avoid all the tat sellers
and walk back up near the coach to get a great view of the Tower sparkling.
We got back on the coach at 10.10 and were took round a few more sites, then at 10.30 we headed back to DLP.We were left off at The Cheyenne at 11.25pm.
We enjoyed this tour it was ideal for us as we didn't want to eat into park time but as the parks closed at 6pm it was something to do in the evening. The boys really wanted to see The Eiffel Tower and it was lovely to see it at night and to see it sparkle.I would not be too confident about taking them on the train and tubes from DLP to Paris that late at night ourselves.
