Okay, I got caught up in the gripes and even started a gripe thread. But to get things on a positive note, how about the things that made you smile.

One for me was that we were having breakfast in the Main Street Bakery and just as we walked out onto Main Street they were doing a singing/dancing show with the song "Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA" (not sure what the actual title is. Well, my kids have been watching some old Disney videos for a few years (2 boys, 5 and 3) and that is one of the songs on the video with the same singing and dancing and costumes and stuff. They were so excited to see something in person that they watched on tv all the time. It made me smile.

Well, our trip earlier this month started out w/ us being able to check in to our room before 9:30, getting into Magic Kingdom & riding Dumbo, Tea Party, IASW, PP & Philharmagic by 10:30! I actually had a moment during Philharmagic when Tink went flying over London that I found myself choked up @ the thought of how lucky we were, how much fun we had & the fact that we still had the rest of the week to go!

I'm actually getting weepy typing this, but I can't tell if that's because I'm re-living it or my heart is breaking because it's over.

That reminds me of a trip I took about 15 years ago with my niece. She was 5 and it was her first trip to Disney. Our first day was at MK, we rode the monorail, saw all the shows, she went on her first roller coaster and met Pooh and Mickey. When I was putting her down for the night, she asked me if there were kids that never got to come there. I said, "yes, it's sad but there are families that can't come here at all" She looked around the room-at CR and said "Boy, aren't we just the lucky ones then?" Ever since that trip, when something happens that frustrates me I try to remember that moment.

my best moment i had at disney was when we where watching WISHES and my HB was cryin ( hes a big softy) he said i have never seen anything like this .... my DD asked like what he said like all this then they all huged i was so happy just seeing all this( we have been married less then a year and my DH and DDS have had a hard time getting along) after that moment they didn't fight the rest of the trip that was day 3 when for 9 days we love disney :cool1:

My favorite moment was when my younger sis and I were at Disney she was 11 at the time. The last time she was there she was 4. When she got to meet Cinderella again... her face lit up and it made my day.

Now she is 16 and still loves Cinderella but that moment I will remember forever.

Another favorite is when you see the little ones dressed up. I just think that is so adorable! :yay: :yay:

My favorite moment:

Last October, my son was 3 and it was our first trip. We got to DS at park opening and were standing at the rope drop. About 4 characters came walking down the street, including Tigger who my son has always loved. They dropped the rope, Tigger walked right up to my son, took his hand and walked down the street with him. I took a bunch of pictures and still get weepy thinking about my little boy and Tigger walking hand-in-hand down the entire length of the street (to the sorcerer's hat). :) The huge smile on my son's face was priceless. "Tigger picked me!!!"

The peeves and gripes are still at the top and this already got pushed to page 2???

There must be more smiles at WDW or we wouldn't be here, right?

So therefore I am bumping this in search of more happy moments.

Mine is a little odd. But about 5 years ago, I had a smile moment at Epcot. You know the aftershow area of TT? The area where they unveil new GM cars? Well once every few minutes this song would play ("Right here, right now" - Fat Boy Slim) and they'd unveil one of the cars. I remember standing there just smiling because I loved that song and loved being in WDW.

It's so insane of a smile memory, but I've downloaded that song and it reminds me of WDW! You can probably listen to a snippet on amazon.com and see if you recognize it.

Watching my DD get to play Peter Pan opposite Wendy on the Family Magic Tour, while my DS got to play Hook! Then having my youngest DD get to sit next to Wendy at Mickey's Philarmagic. They had the best time ever! My only regret was I didn't have a video camera. Don't worry I fixed that for this trip!! ::yes::

Last Oct on our 10th anni weekend I saw wishes for the first time. I am not to big to admit standing there crying like a fool :)

I expect this trip to be filled with special moments as I will get to see it through the eyes of my 4 year old daughter (last trip was just me and her dad..adn all I could think about was how i wanted her there too) :wizard:

So many things at WDW make me smile!

Here are a few in particular:

DH and I went to WDW a month after 9/11. I remember walking down Main Street and we saw this little boy who just got a balloon and he looked like the happiest little boy I've ever seen, just happy because he got a balloon.

We did our first (and only) character breakfast a few years ago at Ohana. We had always seen the kids marching around with Mickey to the tune of "Oh I Just Can't Wait to Be King" from the Lion King. When we finally had breakfast there, I got up and marched with the kids! My dh couldn't believe I actually did it. I'm short, so I just got in line at the back and blended right in. The waitresses got a kick out of it and I had a great time!

On my 40th birthday, we had dinner at CRT. We got a perfect table in the back facing Fantasyland and had a terrific waiter. After dessert, we watched Wishes and it couldn't have been more perfect.

I'm sure I could think of more, but I'll leave it at that.

I smile everytime I see the Epcot ball. Can't explain it.

Lots of things made me smile:

That dancing fountain at Epcot - I don't know why I was just fascinated with that fountain outside of the Electric Umbrella.

My biggest smile: A nice person took a picture of my DH and I in the stocks in Liberty Square. The picture was great but behind us and slightly to the right included in our pic was a little girl (about 7) SKIPPING -- it was just this joyful moment (mid-skip) caught in our picture -- even my DH said - "doesn't that capture the spirit of Disney?" and he is right. I grin every time I look at that shot!

I smile everytime I see the Castle. Same reason -- can't explain it!

Experiencing the beauty of the Candlelight Processional.

Everytime I get to watch Wishes is a happy time for me.

:teeth: I start grinning ear to ear when the plane lands in Orlando! :teeth:

More smiling when we pull up to the resort! - I love the feeling I get walking into a Disney resort. :teeth:

Big smile getting on the bus.... :teeth:

Another big smile getting of the bus at the parks :teeth:

Big grins when I walk into any of the parks and especially when I see
the castle. :teeth:

Smiling again walking down Main Street :teeth:

More smiling walking into a ride or attraction..... :teeth:

Smile again when buying a Dole Whip..... :teeth:

Big Smiles stopping to see a character.... :teeth: especially Mickey! :teeth:

Actually, come to think of it, I pretty much smile the whole time I'm there! :teeth:

I'm adding my smiles. I smile even when I think about WDW. My kids have grown up there. Every path we take has a memory.

Each entrance hold a special spot in my heart. I have had unhappy moments, but I've never had unhappy times. We've bonded as a family and certainly gotten closer over the years. We are a Disfamily so I'm glad I'm grinning from ear-to-ear thinking about all our memories now. Thanks for the happy thoughts and feelings.

I planned for our trip in earnest for 6 months. It was a trip to celebrate the adoption of my DD6 and I wanted everything to be perfect. I have a picture that captures the look on her face when she first saw the castle and it is a look of awe and wonder.

But, the thing that really made me smile was hearing songs from "Oklahoma" being played as we walked down Main Street and towards the Castle. I felt like Walt was personally making sure that I felt welcome there!
